Aha! But, nobody took your money. You willingly gave it, knowing they were soon to have a baby and things could get backed up. I think that life moments like having a baby are more important. If he had closed up shop for this long would you be happy either? Probably not. I believe it was a good idea to leave ordering open, at least then it gives people a choice of whether they'd like to wait or not order at all vs not being able to order.

Some things are just more important in life, IMO.

That's not totally true. What about customers that had no knowledge of the whole pregnancy. There are some of us still waiting before the labor. I had no idea until a day or two after I originally placed the order.
I'm sure most people that know of MLV or alot of the suppliers learned from here. What about the people that just happened to find the website by accident and don't frequent the board.
I'm not extremely p#$%ed or anything. I understand the whole situation but If there already was a backlog of 500-600 orders in or around the end of Dec, it's now 2 weeks later, how many more orders have been placed and are backlogged even more?

Ok Id like to open the eyes for everyone, with Mlv its just Ian and Marie, filling all those orders, most of all the other vendors have 5-10 people at least making their product so when a "mom and pop" outfit has life come at them, things slow down. As for the flames that will come that "oh X supplyer is just two people and they get me my stuff" think about when life affects them, and lets see how fast you get your stuff, if your tired of waiting, cancel your order and go somewhere else, the bank will re release the money to your account

What I find funny is I work for the ski industry. Christmas/New Year is our busiest time. I haven't had a Christmas day off now for over 10 years. It always cheeses us off when we need equipment during that time and can't get it.

Any way. I don't want to judge how any one runs their business. Maybe someone close by could offer some time (for cash) to help get orders out.

i started this post to get an idea how long i have to wait. i have since gotten enough juice that waiting will not be an issue. i am a newbie and looking forward to trying mlv flavours. i have many samples coming and some larger bottles from mlv. hope he can get caught up before he starts losing customers. this post was not intended to be a negative one. i am on day 4 without analog.

why not use another vendor? i personally just started and was warned that MLV is extremely backlogged and not worth the wait, i tried another vendor and everything is processed and ready to go, and plenty of flavours to choose from, although i havent even touched an e-cig yet to try any of it. PM if you would like the name of the vendor.

Good luck!

I see both sides ... MLV maybe should hold off on taking new orders till they are at least caught up. They have a great product and great service (other than the topic here) so they are not going to lose any customers by not taking orders for a month or so.
But I do know what its like trying to make a buck with a newborn ... everything is on hold

I totally understand and not trying to be an a$%. I'm just making a point, that there are some people who have been waiting well before the "we are backlogged" message or before the labor. Like I said I'm not pi$%&3 off, as I have plenty of juice but I know that I personally emailed ,bout a week ago, and, still have not had an email back.
I'm just agreeing that If MLV was So back logged with orders maybe shutting down the site for a few days would have helped them catch up.

A lot of vendors have had "life" get in the way before, from what I can remember it happened to Backwoods Brew not too long ago, it happened to IkenVape and I honestly doubt they lost business over it. Things happen, people understand and we're all thankful that we have several wonderful vendors in Canada to tide us over until things get back to normal.

As for not shutting down during this time, that was a business decision and anyone that ordered before the message went up on the site could just as easily have contacted them and asked for a refund. Just as they expect you to be understanding, you should expect them to be as well. Anyone that ordered after the message was posted knew what they were getting into.

When Canada Post lost my MLV package, Ian and Marie were more than accommodating and did everything they could to make it right.

Just my :2c:

I'm caught in kind of a weird situation. I ordered when I had a full bottle left, which generally lasts me almost a month. When the news came that they had the baby and that there would be a delay, I figured it'd be a week or so max, maybe 2 in a worst case scenario. Now, 3 weeks later, I'm down to a quarter of a bottle and still no idea when the order will ship. I'm not on a first name basis with all the Canadian vendors and know the ins and outs of their lives like many people here seem to be. I realize the delays are somewhat beyond their control, life happens and I don't blame them for it.

It just so happens that I came in second place at a recent contest and won a 30ml bottle among other things. I thought that would save me from running dry. Unfortunately, the vendor who ran the contest is on the west coast and I'm in the east. The shipment won't get here until the 24th and I'll be out of juice by then.

So now I'm waiting on 2 shipments which won't get here in time. I don't exactly have money to spare these days, and even if I did, placing another order would be kind of crazy. I don't need that much just laying around once everything eventually comes in. Not to mention spending money when I don't really have to.

I guess I just got caught in a perfect storm. Oh well, what are ya gonna do...

On the other hand, if there was extra laying around this wouldnt be a major issue! ;)

Although i am not sure if juice can go "Bad" or lose flavour over time? I am the noob afterall!

Try another vendor in the meantime if you are open to it. :D

It'd be nice but he's really busy. I'm sure he'd rather actually get the orders out than update the site. Then everyone gets everything quicker.

I'm not meaning posting every time 1 order is completed. I really can't see it taking more that about 2 minutes to come on the forum every 2-3 days to post what order # has just been shipped.
