the rapture and second coming of Christ is are pretty widely excepted event(s). However, the rapture happening at the beginning of the seven year tribulation period is just one of a few theories. I don't claim to know which is true. Some believe in pretribulation rapture (at the beginning of the seven years). Some believe in mid-trib and others believe in post-trib. There is biblical evidence for each of the options. And to absolutely mandate that one is accurate, the proponent must ignore or explain away the other scriptures. But I think it's important to recognize that the issue is the second coming of Christ to usher in the Millenium and not if or when the rapture will happen. Personally, I hope for "pre", expect "mid" and prepare for "post". God is able to deliver us from... or
through... the tribulation.
