Has anyone else noticed that when they introduce a new PV they always make a 20 watt before they make a 30 watt, a 30 watt before a 50 watt, a 50 watt before a ...........
AND, the masses fall for it every time!
Generally yes. Although Greenleaf did put out a 150w ipv before their 100w device.

But Wait!! If you buy now, we will send you another one absolutely free!

Seriously, my take is that they design the basic item for the masses since most people vape under 20 watts. Once it's gained acceptance they throw out the high watt models. By that time, vapers have discovered all the flaws and quirks and plastered them with emails. The new model gets the ROM code bugs and all the other problems fixed and the price goes up for the higher watt features.

The public always gets to be the guinea pigs. ;) I'm sitting here vaping my Eleaf iStick that I bought before ECF reported that it had no buck converter circuit. Always wait for version 2.x or later. The higher the better.

Devices like ink jet printers are actually coded to fail past a certain number of copies. Appliances are designed to work well for a short period and then break down, same with computers. Cell phones are pushed out of service as manufacturers stop pushing through updates.

The united states represents 5% of the world's population--which consumes 32% of the world's consumer products. There's a reason for this.

I buy whatever really nice inkjet printer gets good reviews and is on sale for about $99 to $150. I buy one refill at the store and order 5 star rated multi-pack ink from Amazon where I get a box containing several carts of each color for under $30 and they are full, not half filled. I get great quality, only have to run the nozzle cleaning routine 2 or 3 times a year, and I dump it if it breaks after 2 years and go shopping again.

I've migrated from Canon to Brother lately. HP is off my list of vendors after buying my Mother one that can't print anything without going through a 5 minute startup routine that uses huge amounts of ink. There are times when I only want to print one or two pages when I'm at her house. I don't care for the calisthenics it has to do for a couple of pages.

I've seen the trend, wonder how much of it is planned vs. assimilating newer chips as they become available. With the trend in high wattage mods and the limits rising I think that people that buy them must be required to use them at the highest setting and post the video of the experience...lol. I really want to see someone use one at the full 150 or 200 watts.

I don't get cloud vaping. 8 or 9 watts is a good center point for a good vape. I've vaped others' high watt mods and they are cool, tasty, and vapor heavy. I just don't want that much PG or VG entering my lungs on a regular basis. I'm trying to develop the habit where I draw into the mouth and exhale through the nose without deeply inhaling anything.

If I vaped a cloudmaker I couldn't go anywhere. They'd tell me to get the heck out of their store or home. But, like the aftermarket auto industry, where the hype convinces you that you are nothing if you don't have the latest engine mod and the greatest 1000 watt stereo, vape meets show off the coolest high watt super airflow atomizers and the 100 watt mods.

It would be pretty easy to do. Not my thing, I like smaller chambered RDAs (with good air). But, a quad coil on a huge air RDA like the Mutation, shouldn't get too hot at 160W. Plenty of folks rocking a single coil at 40W.

I don't think its true for me. I have, and use daily, an ipv1. They didn't make it for long as it seems the masses wanted 50W or more. It is accurate and has never given me any problems.

I did buy an istick 50W. It was through a group buy and cost me about what I paid for the 20W one. Longer battery life, flat DC signal, better 510. I expect to be happy with it for those reasons. I'm giving the 20W to a friend because she's poor, but otherwise I would keep it.

I do have a number of dual and tri coil rtas now, and 50W devices are helpful. What I want most when I choose mods is accuracy of the chip and a good 510.

C'mon now, we don't need another thread crapping all over a given style of vaping.

You don't have to have everything out there. Don't need a x-watt box, don't buy one. I'm quite thankful that there are so many good choices out there.

It also could be, you know, technical innovation and engineering overcoming packaging challenges. Open up your minds a bit, not everything has to be a scandal. The world can be enjoyed more that way, in my experience.

Yup, I earned my living selling folks stuff they didn't need

You would never believe how many buy stuff to make a car look faster instead of stuff that will make it go faster.
