I hear you, I do all the research as well. I usually just by two everything so I can avoid shipping twice!

So has mine and it is killing me... he was down to about a 1/2 pack a day (from 2 packs) and mostly vaping. Now he is up to about a pack a day and vaping a little. He is not allowed to smoke in my new Audi... so at least I was able to set down the law some where. The worst part is, with him smoking all the time again it makes it so hard for me not to smoke. I've been as good as I can be and only smoking 1 or 2 on a good day and 3 or 4 on bad day, but I know if it he would just stop or at least not do it when I am around I can stop totally. I prefer my PV and I don't really think about smoking when he is not around. I don't buy them and don't mind when he runs out. When he went on his 7 day camping trip a month ago I didn't smoke at all or miss it!

I agree with you completely! It really makes it very difficult to stay "smober" when your other half is smoking. You're doing great though! We've only quit this time since August 31st, he made it 2 and a half weeks and lit up intending to only smoke those 4 that he absolutely missed...upon waking, after eating and before bed. I told him I wished him luck (although it killed me inside) but I didn't think it would stay at those 4/day. After one week, he was so disgusted that he was creeping back up to close to a PAD that he threw out what few he had left and rejoined me on the quit train. =) So far so good, but I'm guarded, especially where he is concerned. (he is in auto body (exotics) and his lungs are exposed to some heavy crap!)

edited to add....that week that he was smoking, I had a few as well....but none since.

I can relate as well. I live with 2 heavy smokers. I spend most of my time in the bedroom with my PC and game systems so it doesn't effect me too much. Sometimes the smoke from downstairs will waft up here and permeate the bedroom, even with the door closed. The smell bothers me a bit but I can deal with it. I'm at the point now where being around other smokers doesn't bother me much though. After 17 years of smoking, I was at the point where I didn't enjoy it all anymore and I was jut plain sick of it. I just keep that in mind when "the urge" hits me.

Well I guess the problem is I am beating myself up over it! Yes, after 2 to 2.5 packs a day, it is of course better to only smoke 2 or 3 a day, but knowing that when he is not around I smoked none and was OK with it is what is killing me here. I really want to quit. When he was only smoking 3 or 4 a day I really didn't notice it and maybe smoking 3 cigarettes a week! He tells me every day he really wants to quit, but what he says and what he does are two different things, he is now at a pack a day and he is going backwards!

This might be the first REAL issue we have had in our mariage and after 15 years of getting along perfectly I don't know what to do about it! I've asked him not to smoke in the house, he tries but eventually does.

It does help if you can have your own space where smoking isn't allowed. I can tell you that much. You sound like you're at the point where you're able to quit completely. It's more a matter of deciding not to smoke now and trying to get used others smoking around you without succumbing to the urge yourself. You can't always convince non-vapers to convert but you also can't judge them for what you were/are guilty of either. That's the way I look at it anyway.

moorea,

Just a suggestion...have you tried letting him see that you've stopped smoking all together? Even though I know it's hard, but my thinking here is that YOU may be inspiration enough for him to see and he just may surprise you and join you.

I was ready (to try) MONTHS before he was....but I kept mindlessly smoking right along with him. (so I get it) This time when he returned to it, although I did have a few, he saw me trying so hard to stay quit that he ended up wanting to rejoin me. WIN! =)

I am at the point I am ready to put it behind me completely... the odd thing is other smokers don't bother me a bit, I'm around several often. I can get in a car with 3 other smokers smoking all the way to town (a 45 minute drive) it just doesn't bother me. For some reason it is just him. It is hard to establish your own smoke free zone when the other person is your husband. So far the only place that is truly smoke free is my car. We live in a 3 story 5,000+ square foot home and he can light up 2 floors below me on the other side of the house and I smell it! I don't judge him at all. I get it, I smoked more then he did before this second attempt at vaping!

Tried that, I went three weeks without smoking at all in July, that is when he got down to 2 or 3. He says he wants to stop and will so we will see. He sees me trying hard every day! I've even put on the tears for him!

If anyone would like to try some of my cig-like tob4, give me a shout. I used it when I first switched to vaping. I vaped 24 most of the time, kept a carto with 30mg for craving points.
It has some real punch on the buzz :)

That sounds interesting is it something you mixed yourself?

Moorea keep a eye on WTA. It seems to be helping some of those that ejuice wasnt just hitting the spot. Its still early in its life and is somewhat hard to get but worth watching to see how people do with it.

WTA... what is it and where do you find it??????

Yes, an easy 2 flavoring diy. Seedman commercial base, with tobacco absolute to give it real bite.

Happy to send some out, I have a lot of the flavorings, only use them for pif since my all day is a different blend. Nice vaper, th, very much a classic analog cig flavor.

Sending you a PM now!
