I made up a batch of 460 ml base. 75%vg 25%pg at 8ml. I want 50/50 8ml. My nic is 48mg in PG. How much pg/nic and pg/no nic would I need to add to say... 100ml to get my target of 50/50 8mg.



I actually made a 500ml batch but took out 40ml to test. I'm used to 50/50 and I'm not sure I'll want that high % of VG. When I made it, I was thinking I was already using that ratio but anyway... long story short.. I shouldn't have made that much of something I wasn't sure I'd like so I'm planning ahead on what to do in case I want to go back to 50/50. This is base only.. I add flavors later.

To get exactly a 50% PG / 50% VG final juice mix, we would need to know just how many percent flavorings you are going to add to the mix ... You don't state that.

BTW, most all the flavorings are PG based.

OK, this might be tricky to DO, but here's the minimum volume solution:

You have 345 mls of VG, so you need 345 mls of PG to get to 50/50.
That means adding 230 mls of PG.
You will then have a total of 690 mls of base.

You have 460x8 =3680 mg of nic, but to have 8 mg/ml AFTER you've got 690 mls you'll need to be adding 1840 more mgs of nic.

SO: Add 1840 mg nic in 230 mls of PG. This, not suprisingly is 8 mg/ml strength - just a good doublecheck but of course adding 8 mg strength to 8 mg strength you stay at 8mg strength.

Bottom line - add 230 mls of 8mg PG and you are set.

Oh - just noticed you're starting at 48.
So add 38.33 mls of the 48mg nic, and the rest (191.66 mls) no-nic PG.

As Flt said, a lot would depend on your flavorings. Many flavorings are PG based, so if your total flavorings added are 25%, then your final juice will come out to 50/50 anyways.

Thanks! For a long time I vaped 80/20 PG/VG. then I went to 50/50. I always make a big batch of unflavored to parcel out as needed and add flavors later. Yes, I know the flavoring will affect the % outcome, I take that into consideration for the final mix. For some reason when I mixed this morning... I figured 25/75 PG/VG. I decided to do some test mixes of the 25/75 before I alter it. I think I may leave it as it is but wanted to know what to add if I don't.

I've got my usual 50/50 in one REO and the new 25/75 in another. I'll vape them side by side for a few days before I decide if I want to alter my base.
