If your looking to get variable voltage I would get a mod that has the ability to go from 3.0v-6.0v in 0.1v increments. For me its a lot easier to find the sweet spot because I use different attys at different ohms. I have a Vector variable volt from vaporbeast.com. Heres the link http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/sk24.htm

My buddy has the Vamo which also has variable watts but he has had some minor problems with it. Anyway I dont know anything about the matrix but I know it wouldnt be for me. what device do you have now?

Bought my wife a matrix.....looks good and pretty versatile but performance just isn't there. Produces a fair amount of vape but just nowhere near enough power out of that unit no matter what size battery you try. You'll get just as much oomph out of a vision spinner...I would recommend going with a vamo...although the vamo is a bit large and heavy but it does pack some power and is adjustable in .1 increments rather than just 3 presets that are on the matrix
