I'm a logger and I've found the Roughstack to be the perfect vaping device for my rough and tumble occupation. With the Maxi extension, the 18650 battery easily lasts all day. I have no idea what kind of collision it would take to damage the Roughstack body. That said, I broke down today. From 6:00 AM this morning until 3:30 PM this afternoon I was vapeless.
My Roughstack went totally dead at about 6 AM this morning. I was running my skidder up and down a mountainside using the lights and didn't have much time to stop and consider why. I did stop and change the atty--nothing changed. I unscrewed and rescrewed the atty connection and the body connection--nothing changed.
I assumed my Ultrafire battery had given up the ghost--I didn't have a spare along since the 18650 batteries had been so faithful and a spare takes up too much room in my little parts box.
It was a long, vapeless day.
When I got home, I ran to my old boxmod and at last, after 9 and 1/2 hours or so, acquired some needed nicotine replacement.
I changed the battery, nothing changed.
I thought the switch must be bad, but it was relatively new.
I pulled the nut off and saw that the positive end of the switch circuit board looked wet.
I took a swab with a bit of alcohol on it and wiped the circuit board off.
I put everything back together and the Roughstack vaped like it should.
In retrospect, I probably could have taken a corner of my t-shirt, wiped the circuit board off without removing it from the mod cap and have been a happy vaper for the day. Just for your information.
