I still love my Maxi. It is still my everyday PV.

My only wish is that it had a master cutoff switch.

I threw it on the bed a couple of days ago and walked out for a few minutes. When I came back into the room it was smoking, the switch had somehow been pushed by the way it fell onto the bed. If I had been away too much longer I am afraid of what might have happened.

Luckily I only have a blistered finger from where I stupidly touched the atomizer. I tried to unscrew the atomizer immediately, not knowing what was happening, which burned me. Instead I had to unscrew the maxi itself to 'turn it off' as I didn't realize the switch had been pushed and since it had been on for so long it was still smoking when I picked it up.

or any tips anyone might have after using it a while

I still used a closed 510 extension (purchased from Madvapes). I fell that the extension keeps the 510 connection of the Maxi itself clean and I don't have to worry about ever messing up the threads (not sure if that's ever a problem, I just do it as a preventative measure).

Purchased the 4.8v battery which I rarely use, I love it at 3.7 volts with my 2400mAh 18650 battery. One of those last me a couple of days, which is awesome.

Finally gave up on cartomizers. Loved the Boge 2.0's but got sick of them lasting for only a couple of days each (tops) with a thick, organic juice I use (Cake Batter from Vaperite). Right now I am in love with the Cisco spec atties over at AvidVaper.com. The 1.5lr 510's (both the bridged and the aero bridgeless) atties hit the spot for me. Nothing so far has had a better taste, so much vapor and the perfect TH.

This thing is DURABLE. I have dropped it countless times (as it rarely leaves my side). No dents, just a few scratches and still works like a champ.

Only complaints are what I wrote above about no master cutoff. I also wish they would have switches and tops in stock more often. Every time I look over there when I have a little extra cash in my budget for parts, they are out. I just want to make sure I have an extra one so when this switch eventually fails (hopefully in the far, far future) I have a backup.

All in all, I love my Maxi Roughstack. Its a great device. It has at least sated my mod appetite for the meantime.
