Maxi RS - ETA?

After a lot of research, soul searchin', and funds countin', I've settled on the Maxi Roughstack as my first mod purchase. Been stalking like a panther in heat for awhile now watching the forum, e-mail updates, and website but just can NOT catch these things in stock!

Any idea how long it will be before the Maxi RSs in tumbled finish will be back in stock? Sorry if a thread somewhere mentions this, but I've scanned and browsed and couldn't find anything yet. Thanks in advance and looking VERY forward to joining the long line of happy Roughstackers!

On a side note, if I were to order the standard Roughstack V2, could I later on buy the Maxi body and be able to turn it directly into a Maxi Roughstack using just the elongated body tube, or is there more to it than that?

That's how it works. The RSV2's have nicer threads than the RSV1's did so they all match up nicely now. In fact, I did it that way: My first RSv2 was the short one - then I bought the maxi tube - then I decided I wanted both so I bought another cap.

I did this also. Then turned around and bought another Maxi RS. I now have 2 Maxi's and a mini. Love'em.

Me too... but I got my second maxi from Hoogie's kindness and great customer service. I messed up the 510 connector on one of my caps somehow (the center pin came out - not really sure how I did it) and I bought a replacement cap. When i was trying to figure out how tough it would be to get the 510 connector out and replace it so I'd just have a spare, Hoog took pity on me and sent me my maxi black sparkle.

Great to hear! I caught a handful of Maxi RSs in stock early yesterday morning (my Native American name is Stalkem Lots). Wasn't the tumbled finish unfortunately, but couldn't pass up the chance. Tossed on a set of Trustfire 18650s (2400mah, the 3000mah were OOS =() and a TR-001 charger. Hope I got all that right. Considering the price, I should've just grabbed the kit, but I've heard nothing but good about those batteries and charger.

Regardless, thanks y'all for the input. Great to know. May end up grabbing one of those black sparkle or red ones in a standard next time. Definitely want two eventually, but I'd really like that tumbled finish to take to work with me.

Funny, that's basically the same scenario I went through. The flame red 18650's seem more powerful, but that could be psychological due to the colors
Have yet to regret the purchase. I've considered the dual battery setup for HV, but i don't feel like buying batts and cartos. 3.7v is good for me, and I can get two or three days on one battery.
