Maybe a stupid question

This may be a stupid question, but if only flavored liquids are banned, is it possible (and easy) to buy unflavored and add your own flavors? The thought of DIY’ing from scratch is scary to me. I have been a member for a long time, but don’t really post-I just read everyone else’s posts. I’ve been vaping about 7 years.

You will need to wait and see. But it will probably only be flavored nicotine ejuice. That would mean that like now in locations that ban flavored ejuice, you can buy flavored juice in 0MG nic and then add your own nicotine.

It's doable and relatively easy. It's really, really, easy to just vape unflavored though

I've been doing it for years now. All you'll need is some nicotine base (in the freezer), VG and PG (widely available, make sure it's USP grade) and a some flavors. There's plenty of information on this forum and elsewhere on how to do it safely and tons of recipes.

Thanks, that’s interesting. But wouldn’t flavored juice, even without nic be attractive to teens still, which is the whole reason for the ban, right?

FDA does not have authority to ban it as far as I know but they can regulate nicotine

I started by adding just a drop or two of the flavors that I thought I might like (2-3%) to my flavorless base. Flavorless vaping is also surprisingly satisfying--to me it's the closest to vaping a light cigarette, for some reason.

Some companies make "flavor shots" that you can add to a flavorless nicotine/Pg/Vg base. Not sure if those will pass muster with this ban.

That sounds easy, but might be banned.

Others might be able to confirm this, but as far as I know, (most) e-liquid flavors (for DIY) are basically just food flavors so unlikely they will be banned, but right now I doubt anyone know what's going to happen.

Now, I would imagine it is possible. I used to add flavoring to flavored ejuice to enhance it. But the thing is, once you go that route, it's just as easy to totally diy your own ejuice.

And flavorings aren't always for Ejuice only. Lorann's oils are made for the baking scene to flavor candies and such, but some of the varieties that don't have alcohol in it make for some good ejuice flavorings. I am a big fan of their Guava flavoring. Capella's flavorings were also designed for the food and beverage industry, but have also made a big scene in the vaping industry. Many flavorings that are big in the industry have other uses, so the flavorings I'm not worried about.. it's the regulating of Nicotine.

That really is a stupid question just because the answer is so obvious. Ten fingers in various sizes means you will always have one that fits. Like a pack of assorted screw drivers.

Damn you are far too brilliantly intellectual for me. I too was facing issues over two nostrils, and ten fingers. Now, after years of concern over wasted fingers I can finally sleep well knowing the answer.

Wait, now I recall another terrible issue. I have two ear holes but only one mouth hole. I bet you might have an answer for that as well. I have always been told so I could listen twice as much as talk, but I know that can not be true. There has to be some grand esoteric reasoning for it. Could it be to allow aliens easier access to our brains? I will wait your answer.

Who knows what will actually be banned and when. I always say hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I think we would all be foolhardy not to at least try to learn some simple DIY just in case.

When you read through this forum, it does seem complicated. It can be, but it doesn’t have to be.

If unflavored juice or flavored with zero nic, it’ll be easy enough to add what you need, at least if you have or can still source the nic.

But it’s still better to know how now, so you have time to practice while you can still get what you’ll need.
