ok. so if I'm understanding this correctly...the "atty" is what I have to replace most often? and the cartidges/clearomizer/tank etc should last quite long right? The clearomizer has the atty BUILT IN? Is this correct? and the "rebuildable" ones mean I can put new atty's into them instead of replacing the whole thing?

now the batteries pretty much last a long time so the eGo-C Twist I have coming should be good for much longer than the atty's and the tanks? Is this correct?

Also, the best vapor comes from a tank/atty combo putting raw liquid in rather than the cartidges and a separate atty? I'm still trying to figure it all out. Sorry for the continuing questions.

I'm still learning so I might be wrong but according to my research:

The atty or atomizers are the parts where the liquid gets heated up by the coil inside to turn the juice into vapor.
The clearomizers has atties built in, all you need to do is fill it up, slap on a battery and start vaping.
You are correct on the rebuildable clearomizers..not only that, some clearomizers like the vivi Nova has different resistance atomizers..you can change them as you like to suit your battery.

A cartomizer is a cartridge that has an atomizer inbuilt to it. I do not know if they contain polyfill.
A clearomizer is a tank with a atomizer in it.

To the seniors in the vaping world, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

I'll try to answer your questions as best I can.

The atty is what heats the juice. An atty alone will last you a long time, especially if you keep the gunk cleaned out of it. If you are using an atty/cartridge combo, you'll replace the cartridges more often than the atty. The cartridges can also be cleaned out rather easily. Yes, the clearomizers have the atty built in, and rebuildables can be replaced without buying the whole thing.

Twist batteries should last you MUCH longer than anything else. Anywhere from 6 months to a year.

The best flavor comes from an atty. There are a few atty/tank combos out there, but carto/tanks are easier to find at this time. Maybe as time goes on more atty/tanks will come available.

No problem with questions. That's what we're all here for!;)

oh. and what is the difference between a "cartomizer", "clearomizer", and cartridge exactly? (the cartridge just has polyfill inside)? and the others you just put liquid in with no polyfill?

A cartomizer is a cartridge and an atomizer combined. Most have either a stainless steel outside exterior or a black exterior, but some are clear so you can see inside them. They have a filler in them.

Boge Refillable 510 Cartomizers 2.0ohm - 510 Cartomizers - Cartomizers - PV Parts

A clearomizer holds more juice. They are clear so you can see how much juice you have left. They have wicks instead of filler.

Sunrise eGo Clearomizer 2.1-2.4 Ohm

A cartridge is something you have to use with an atomizer. It cannot be used as a stand alone item, since they have no heater coil inside them. Some have a filler, some don't depending on the type.

eGo-T Tank Cartridge, 5 Pack

Hope this makes it all clear as mud for you!
