Hello all. We are a new supplier and I think we have registered correctly (If not I'm sure I'll find out shortly :p ) We are bringing a new mod to the market starting today, The SteamPunk SparkPlug or SP2 for short. We actually came up with the idea for this back in early 09 but did not have the resources to produce it. It may be better that it took us this long as we have continually refined the design. We wanted something durable, reliable and very, very hard to break and we wanted to both have it available and be able to sell it at a reasonable price. The SP2 is now available at McDonaldWebb.com.

The web site leaves a lot to be desired (You really need to view it in compatibility mode) and the creator is being beaten as we speak. It will be be redone soon. However the item itself can be found at shop.mcdonaldwebb.com.

We are looking for reviewers and trying to find the best way to get unbiased reviews of the SP2. Suggestions would be welcome :)

Interesting mod, and to me a very catchy name.

Along with most others here, I would be happy to test one :) :D

As a suggestion, you might want to note on the website what the devices opperating voltage is, as while I know what CR123's put out, others may not, or may be confused as to weather it holds 1 or 2 at a time, etc :)

Sorry for the delay, I have been assembling units and labeling boxes. I have to be somewhere shortly so I may not make it back until very late this evening.

I was thinking of maybe doing a contest of some sort for the review, best video review of anything or something, because we only have so many units I can use for that before accounting hurts me. Doesn't have to be a good review of anything, just an honest one.

Our packaging isn't very fancy, plain white box, but it will get everything to you safe and in one piece. The fellow doing marketing will be making some changes there at some point, myself I'm more concerned about the product.

NightShadow, I'll bring that up at next marketing fist fight, I mean meeting. Yes, they are 3.7 volts and it holds one.

Skrymr, The batteries are not protected. You do not want to put them in your pocket with change or put them in the charger backwards. :) Once in the SP2 you are fine. We have done a lot of testing, and nothing short of intentionally shorting it out should cause an issue. This is not easy to do. I have a unit set aside for testing that I plan on intentionally shorting out and making a video of it sometime later this week or early next.

The SP2 is the only thing made in the US. The atomizers etc are outsourced however we are working on that though it may take a while. The atomizers are custom made for us but not in the USA, they are 801's and should be compatible.

Every part of the SP2 itself is made here in the USA, we even had the spring custom made to our specs along with all washers etc.

I'm trying to brainstorm on the review issue and will get back later as soon as I come up with something...

Hey, I am not a mod person but I wouldn't mind trying this out! Very nice marketing presence on the site... Just make it bigger- LOL I got this really small screen like 20% sized of a regular screen... I like that last line though... "It just works, heh"
From what I can see, it has a very sleek design... and not very overly large- so a plus for me...
Add me to the unbiased party to try it out- I would be unbiased since I have not used a single mod yet... AND I don't belong to any e-cig company at all- Just a happy consumer!
Can't wait to see the site when your guy gets it fixed...

Luv2CUSmile, yeah, that is an issue we are having, if you click on tools on you IE toolbar and select "Compatibility mode" it will display full size.

We need video reviews and we haven't quite figured out how we are going to do this. I have to run everything by marketing before I do anything so please give me a day or so here. Hopefully I will have something solid soon.

Agree with a few others, really like the name.

I'd love to see the ability to buy just the base kit for those of us who have batts/charges/carts already. I do like the brass atty, adds to the spark plug look for some reason. Have never been a fan of 801s but would consider buying one if there was an adapter for the 510 atty. I know this would mean you'd have have brass colored 510s as well but 510s sell from what I hear. :)

Hmmm, in looking again I believe the button is on the bottom. I haven't been a huge fan of this but do like that the button is recessed. That's a plus in my book.

Best of luck on your endeavor!

+1 add me to the list.:thumb:

I do have a question though, and anybody could chime in on this one...

It is my understanding that Cr123s are 3V.(I've never had these batteries so I may be wrong). I was excited to see 2 cr123s included with the kit. I assumed that this means this is for 6v, but I read just a few posts up that the sparkplug only uses one battery at a time and is a 3.7v device.

So here's my question.

If the sparkplug only takes one cr123 at a time, and the cr123 is only 3v; how can this be a 3.7v device?

Bring on the Steampunk Sparkplug!

Have a great day!

Hmm...more possibilities to design stealth mods now. LOL

I guess you learn something every day!

Have a great day!

CR123 s can come in 3v or 3.6 or 3.7v. Youd want the 3.6/3.7v batts.

Its easier to find them than the 3v version as well...Look at tgis site for more.

You asked for site suggestions, so here goes....

More of a "high definition" would make the site look more professional, therefore more inviting and easier for the public to "trust".

A few "testimonials" would also add some spice to the pot. (And, yes, Im available for testing and unbiased reviews :))

Better photos aand more variety. As of now, it only allows you to view the kit as the kit. A few pics of the SP2 and the Pro-Attys by themselves would be great for the publics inspection of quality purposes.

Another thing is explanations of the products. ex) The button LOOKS recessed, but is it? Is the buttons outer bulge permanant for protection from accidental activation, or does the entire casing move in and out w the button...etc..

I would suggest visiting ur site as an uneducated customer. What things wouuld YOU want to know about a new PV before buying. Maybe write ur questions down, then go to ur site, if any questions go unanswered, thats what needs to be changed.

Good Luck, it looks FANTASTIC!!!!!

I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE To do an unbiased review for this product!

:):):):):):):):)

OH YEAH....Here ya go! ;)
