I've heard of good results on similar setups, though the way I've seen it, the mesh still acts as the wick.

I can't imagine it's going to last very long. Hows it holding up?

you would think it would be unstable because of the nature of mesh, but it def looks like its working D: keep us posted!

I guess as long as the mesh did not touch (creating a short, or a partial one between two of the three "coils" creating a ~.5ohm resistance instead of .9), it would be pretty good. I would think the vapor would probably be good too, as you have greater surface area than you would with wire... Interesting, will have to keep us updated .

Perhaps you could double the width, and fold it back on itself when doing the wraps, making it twice as thick?
