Hi guy's/gal's thought i'd throw this out there for the people who are new or like
me have bought the wrong size ribbon and have realized that they can't use it cus
your rba is'nt wide enough to house it and also if you need a coil to be over a certain
ohm's.
I bought 0.8x0.1mm ribbon and wrapped around a 1/16 drill bit you will need 9 wrap's
to get 1.6 ohm's, Sound's good untill you try fitting this coil into something as small
as a Trident and you start getting problem's, unless you can go sub-ohm and drop a
few wrap's from your coil which i can't do then your stuck with flat ribbon you can't use.

Well i've found a way i can use this wire, and it work's pretty dam good.
If the ribbon is twisted you can pretty much half the ohm's, so instead of 9 wrap's to get
1.6 ohm's i can now get 5 wrap's for about 1.6 ohm's and the coil fit's nice and vape is good.

I would just like to say that i am by no mean's the founder of this and will mention the founder
at the end when i find his name and the link to his thread so you can watch his video, but
basically you will need a drill and a weight, drill one end and about 6oz weight other end
and twist the wire with the drill, as you keep twisting you will notice the diameter get really
small useally from one end or the other, when the whole length is the same diameter your done.

Here's an easier way that I picked up from Cavere a forum member in a post: cut off one long piece. Then fold it in half and place the loose ends in the drill captured nice and tight. The looped end hooks in a large paperclip. I hold the paperclip taught and fire the drill.

Yup you guys arent understanding :D

The whole point to this thread was to let people who can't go sub ohm or for any reason can't fit 2 coils in the same atomizer
or can't stay above sub ohm because they bought the wrong thickness wire.

If you put 2 coils in 1 atomizer yes you will half the ohm's and some people don't want or can't do this.

If you twist 2 lengths of wire together yes you will lower the ohm's and yet again some cant some don't
want to.

What i'm talking about is twisting a length of ribbon and not twisting 2 pieces together, i'm twisting the
ribbon to make its diameter smaller which inturn raise's the ohm's

To find the video that inspired me you will need to do a search for 'Alexander mundy's
magic ribbon'
If you watch the first two video's only that will explain how to do it.

Big thank's to Alexander mundy, hope you don't mind

I couldnt get a link to the thread, for some reason the ps4 won't let me

Interesting thanks. I notice he does wrap/twist 3 strands together and I understand what you are saying about using just the single strand and twisting it. I am a complete noob and purchased a reel of Linguine wire as the shop I got it from didn't have ordinary wire. I have since got plenty of wire. Am I correct in saying Linguine is 0.40 mm wide and will give 0.38 ohms per cm? You tried 0.8mm which required 9 twists. I too find the space between posts tight.
Can I use the linguine to achieve 1.6 or similar? What if in the future I did this as well, what ohm could I achieve and how many twists on the coil? What wicking are you using?

I can save the ribbon for a later date when I've gained more experience which I seriously currently lack.

I watched both the youtube parts 2 and 3 though couldn't find a part 1.

Thanks
