Mech Mod Battery Rattle

Hi again guys. I am trying to get my 5 posts in, so I figured I would go ahead and post an issue I am having. I am new to mech mods and have a corsair copper tube and a mephisto v1 rda. I get it to fire for a bit and then it stops working. I am pretty sure it is the connection from the battery to the atty because I can hear a battery rattle. There is an adjustable in under the fire pin where the atty screws in, so I can extend to stop the rattle. But it still doesn't work for more than a few drags. I am assuming it has something to do with the pin is extended down so far that it doesn't make a good atty connection.

Information that might help:

I have a dual coil build of two .5 ohms (so .25 ohm build).
coils are about 3 days old at max and will dry fire great if I do get a good connection.
I have checked the screws on the rda that connects the wire and the connection is good there.
The fire button at the bottom is assembled correctly and its all snug and working.
Battery is freshly charged and is a sony 18650 size with a rating for 30 amps (way above what I need).
The adjustable pin is definitely kind of wobbly when extended. Wondering how bad it would be to put a washer to snug it.

So any help is warranted. I have to play around with it every 5 hits on average.

The only fix for that is proper adjustment of the pin/screw that is inside the bottom of the top cap of the mod. The atty and coils are not part of the equation.
I usually just back the pin/screw out more than I'll really need, then when screwing the top cap on, the pin/screw usually works itself up into the correct position to stop the rattle. It may take a few times of putting it together and taking it back apart, but it works for me. A washer probably won't help much if you have to back the pin/screw out more than a few turns... you'll have too much gap for the washer to even make contact with anything.

I don't have one, and am only looking at pictures, but it looks like it only has a one piece positive screw. This means that you should flush mount your RDA on the top cap, and adjust the positive screw for good contact with the RDA. It also looks like there is no (or little) adjustment in the switch. So battery length would be critical. (Ya-I know, figure out which battery a mod maker uses can be a pain in the ....) Looks to me like that mod would adjust up just fine with a button top battery.

You might try an AW IMR battery.

I figured out the issue after adjusting it. I adjusted the pin down to handle the battery rattle and then I realized the RDA connector screw was inside the threaded shaft so it wasn't connecting. After adjusting that the RDA didn't screw all the way so I adjusted the pin to fit the RDA. So the button switch when screwed on did not fit flush; however it is on there tight and not going anywhere. Now it fires great and the button gap is only noticeable at a short distance. As a warning I learned going mech do not go cheap. I wanted to save money to get my feet wet, and the corsair looks awesome. The machining is garbage and you find the first few times adjusting the simplest things (unscrewing the button to change the battery) can cause parts of the copper threads to come off. I did check and I got a serial numbered model and not a clone. I got it firing great for my noob tastes, but I see upgrading easily in my future.

Also, as a side note I am big on battery safety, and this does not have a button lock. I found if you partly unscrew the button bottom until there is a good rattle the battery cannot connect even if you jar it either way or hold the button full throw. I would recommend this to anyone with this brave enough to carry it in a pocket.
