just got the engine V2 tried to look this up other places but kept getting things for hybrid mechs but I have the nato by asylum mods and it isn’t hybrid it has and adjustable 510 connection for battery rattle where I would screw my mod down on it so my battery isn’t coming into direct contact with the batteries like a hybrid connection does is it safe to use my rta on it or not please any info would be helpful thanks

It is safe only if you do the following:
  • Stick with brand name 18650 batteries from Lg, Samsung, or Sony (Murata) from trusted reputable battery suppliers.

  • Know Ohm's Law,build within battery's CDR,battery safety,etc.

Should be fine on a non hybrid mod like the nato. It’s the hybrids where you need to watch out for non-protruding center posts, which I believe the V2 has anyway.
@greek mule is right though. Mechs in general require a great deal more knowledge and care than variable mods to be safe. The NATO has NO safety features at all.. its design might as well be 10 years old. I’m not even seeing battery venting on some versions. That in itself is dangerous. If your battery vents in an unventilated mod you’re basically holding a pipe bomb. If your mod has no slots near the top I personally consider it too dangerous to use, period. If it does you still need to know the ins and outs of how mechs work to be safe. With a mech the safety feature is you. Used correctly they’re basically fine. Used incorrectly you can really hurt yourself or someone else. There is a reason almost no one uses the things anymore.

There ARE guides on this site on how to use a mech mod safely. You need to have that knowledge though.
