Hey forum just wanted to know if anyone had any answers to a couple questions I had toward clones. I'm the type of guy like many that don't wanna drop 150+ on a mech mod. So I would rather go with the clone. But it seems that every mod I currently want they don't clone. For instance Hyon mod, tugboat v2, limitless, subzero. Not sure if they will ever clone these but it seems unlikely at the moment. My question is since they clone a hundreds of mods why can't they clone these? Does it have to do on how they were made or something. Just curiosity. Would really be happy if they cloned any one of those mods.

Takes time, if a mod is popular you will generally see them cloned by someone, the big 3 like HCigar, Tobecco, and Infinite can take months for them to get a line going with exact machining programming to do it. HCigar might be slower as they are moving more into the process of authentic DNA200 and such mods, EHPro has also been moving toward authentic designs of their own or partnering to make authentics like with Egitty and the Billow Tank line. Check Fasttech, Tobecco, Cigreen, Infinite and few other cloners might actually have them, maybe named differently or so.

There are some poorly made (machined) clones for sure. But also some good, and some better machine quality clones or other makers. If you understand the machining process you'll know there's to many 'authentic' tags being put on work just to get more money. Probably one of the largest selection sites I've been to is Vivid Smoke or Vape Royalty. I think you'll find something that looks dam close. I looked at the Hyon. Some fancy ruffing finish work on the stainless, buts that's all it is. Switch components are also a big difference also.

Im the type who has, in the past, bought mods in the $250+ range cause thats what I wanted, never even hesitated.

And I still support clones, if they can thead it right and make a good button etc.

I think a lot of people are getting duped with authentics coming from the same factories as the clones, but because it has bla bla vapors written on it and not tobeco it must somehow be better .

I have an authentic that matches tool marks with the clones stroke for stroke. And I feel in many cases clones are just as good, the best part about clones is more gear for same money.
