I have the brass stingray and it has the lowest voltage drop of any mech that's out right now. It hits like a beast.

Frick dude, my 18650 extension didn't tarnish/petina/whatever evenly at all! the body (18350 tube) looks like yours, but the 18650 portion is all patchy and stuff. Looks gross. I need to get some brass polish and restart the process. Any suggestions on a good brass polish that won't mess with the engraving?

what makes the stingray better over, say a nemesis? The nemesis has an easy magnetic spring replacement option.

Stingray already has a magnetic button. Mine was pretty crunchy at first (infinite clone) and I actually took steel mesh and 2000 grit sandpaper to the portions of the button assembly where friction occurs. Much better now, but it seems wobbly when I set it down (before and after polishing the interiors) in the unlocked position. Anyone else have this experience?

The brass stingray apparently only has a .1 volt drop, I've seen reports of less I think. Hits like a dang freight train with my trident, even harder with my buddies castle rda

I use brasso and or toothpaste honestly. Just clean it real good the give it a good even polish all around and clean again. Repeat if needed.

Lol I was trying to be clever with my Google fu and found a site recommending ketchup for cleaning brass. Guess whose stingray was treated like a French fry for a few minutes? Yeah that was me.

I'll try toothpaste

I have the brushed brass and the (cheapo) 18650 black copper Stingrays from fasttech. They have almost equal voltage drop (tested with a Fogger v4 at 0.85 ohms and a Sony vtc4 battery). The switch on the black copper one sucks though, and I had to pseuso-hybrid my fogger to get it to fit snug on the Stingray. Make sure that you have a good look at the switch before you buy, and don't go for the cheapest black copper one.

authentic copper black here. Tis me favorite mech. Has everything I look for in a mech, magnet switch, floating center pin, silver plated contacts, minimum voltage drop. Phantom brass is prettier, but couldn't be found when I was shopping, so got on the pre-order for the copper black.

Can't say about cloned stingray, weren't out when I bought mine, and wasn't looking for a clone, desired a great authentic.

Yes the stingray has some polished stainless accents, but it is wrapped around the end caps, which are copper, so the stainless is involved with the current, so no impact on voltage at all.

Yes, my Infinite Stingray wobbles as well. Seems it happens to alot of them. Ive been looking for replacement magnets for them but no luck so far
