Mech Mod Recommendations Please

I've decided to make the move into Mech Mods. Been building coils for a while now and an comfortable with that. For I while i was concerned about carrying around an unregulated device but i figure that I'm probably not the most careless person to have ever made this decision....well maybe not anyway.

So anyway after browsing among the many mech mods out there and finding so many of them to be out of stock I've narrowed my choices to a Poldiac or a Gaia. Both seem to be available and are also Kick friendly. I like the sleaker tubes of these as opposed to the Panzer and the Switch that just look too big to my eye.

Any advice or suggestons of other devices?

The Poldiac would be a great choice.
I have two of the Poldiacs from MMVapors and have one of their new mods, the Nanos, on order.
Their customer service is top notch and every part is available if ever needed. They also have fast shipping. I receive my orders from them in two days from Greece to North Carolina.

I don't know if you're into clones or not but I just bought my 5th mech and it's a Caravela clone from Hcigar, looking real pretty with an Omega sitting on it. I do recommend it if ever you want to have a cheap mod that performs real good.

Well I decided to go with the Gaia because I'll be able to use a Kick in 18650 mode with the tube extension. Plus I live the look of the steel and brass. Got the one on the left.



Poldiac will be next - don't tell my wife!!

Well it cost a little under 200 euros with the extension tube for the kick. My treat to myself from my tax refund!

I still don't get it. Why get a mech and then regulate it? So you have the option of mechanical vs regulated?

For some it's the aesthetics of a mech mod that is appealing. For others it's the fact that a mech has no chip inside so it doesn't "think". The good thing with that is you can sub ohm(doing it safely with safe batteries for sure). A standard mod like an iTaste SVD for example won't let you do that because the device itself thinks it's not safe wich in some case it can be if you don't know what you're doing. Nowadays you have devices like dna 20/30 and SX chipsets that enables you to sub ohm safely while enjoying a regulated vape (not dependent of your battery charge status like with a mech).

But now i'm far gone from your original question haha the point of using a kick in a mech is to have a regulated vape and a selectable wattage setting with the aesthetics of a good old mech.

That is my oppinion, i'm not an expert so feel free to say if mistakes were made in my post.

I have two mechs, none "high end" but both work pretty well and give a lot for the price. My first is a Kamry K101; cheaply built but functional. The other a Smok Magneto. A bit more expensive, built completely of stainless steel and fairly well machined —mine is v.2 which has better tolerances and an adjustable center pin on the 510 connector. Both can be had for a low enough amount that if you later decide mechs are not for you, you won't have a hole in your pocket. I highly recommend the Magneto.

Yes that's it - I like to have the option of building higher ohm coils on occasion and let the kick boost the wattage a bit. Just like the flexibility. Also like the protection if I am out and about.

I recently picked up this Vanilla Mod from my local. Totally loving it, particularly after giving the brass a bit of patina.

EDIT: Ran me about $160(US), and that's a clone Svoemesto.
