My first mod after my ego was the MVP V2. It's time to move on, and I'd like to purchase from my local store so I don't have to wait on shipping. I've got a list of what I've narrowed it down to, and I would like pro's and con's or opinions on the device's to help narrow my decision. I'm getting interested in mech's aswell, I've not owned one yet, the size looks great for dripping. Here are my candidates.

-Vamo v3
-king mech mod (clone)
-nemesis (clone)
-Maraxus (clone)
-SVD

Personally I prefer a mechanical mod. Nothing is more durable over time and you can go down into lower ohms, not that you need to but you can. Good batteries are a must, IMR is my suggestion. A topper that is easy to rebuild is also a huge bonus. Something with holes in the posts and either screws or better yet screws that you can turn by hand. If you want the absolute best tasting vape ever you can't beat a mechanical mod with a dripping topper.

I have been vaping a long time, since before there was even 510 connectors. I have been through all the different ones and come around full circle back to simple mechanical mods.

I'd say go for the Nemesis (clone, if cost is a deal breaker and you're ethically comfortable with that). A Nemmy plus a kick V2 gives you access to pretty much everything the regulated mods on your list have and it's just plain slick to use.

That said, I'd go for a SVD after that... or both. Yeah, definitely both :D

I do want both, and if I get the nemmy ill go back for a vamo or SVD. What is a kick?

I have a Vamo3 and an SVD. The SVD gets my vote.

A "Kick" is a small, round device that sits on top of the battery of a mech and regulates power. The original Kick can go to 12 watts, and so do the Chinese knock-offs.

The Kick 2 goes to 15 watts.

In my opinion (and I have a Kick 2 and two 12 watt knock-offs) unless you rebuild your coils or use rebuildable atomizers, you're not really going to need the extra wattage of the Kick 2.

And the link to the original Kick: (It's about halfway down the page).

The kick goes on the inside of the mod, so it doesn't matter what atty you attach to it. Keep in mind that with a Kick you are essentially sacrificing space that could otherwise be used by bigger battery capacity. Where you can fit an 18490 battery with a Kick, you could fit a much larger capacity 18650 battery. Give or take a couple of millimeters.

I would start out without a Kick and see how it works out. Mech mods do loose their punch at some point, but for me it's more like "time to change battery" than "man this vape has sucked for the last few hours". Up until that point, I get a very good vape all the way.
