So I was curious to see what you guys think of size comparison in mech mods as far as width/thickness. 22mm OD vs 23mm OD?

Personally, I like the way most atty's will fit flush with a 22mm mod (like the Nemesis) but I love the weight and feel of a 23mm (like the GP PAPS X). That extra 1mm thickness in the tubing makes it feel more durable and has a higher quality feel to it.

So I guess 22mm for looks, 23mm for feel. I think the 23mm takes the cake in my books. :2c:

What do you guys think?

I have both 22mm and 23mm mods like them both, but favor my 22mm mods. More comfortable in hand.

I have yet to understand why people associate Weight to Quality. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
A Mod carved from lead would be heavier than any other Mod and properly plated could look awesome. None the less it would make one lousy mod.

Quality comes from fit, function and reliability.
Esthetics are personal preference only.
Weight is both a factor of Design and Materials used.

There's a place for all of them. Ody/Ithaka, Squape, Flash-E are all 23mm atties. I love the feel of my 21mm Origin/Aqua combo, but the Origin clone's switch isn't near as good as my Nem clones. When my Precise Strata arrives I'll have a 24mm hybrid with my ELA. To me it's not so much about the width of a mod, but whether or not it has a hybrid atty, or at least an adapter. No more 510 connections (and no genisis atties!) for me.

To me the weight just makes it feel like it's made of quality. I don't know why. Also the heaviest mod I have also has some of the best machined threads I've used so that adds to why I feel that way I guess.

I finally got my Aqua back from my buddy (I lent it to him right after I got it) and am finally realizing why it's so expensive. I'm amazed at how well it vapes. Origin mod to match it is next on my list.
