Mech mods have been around A LOT longer than the sub-ohm craze. People used to build em just to make a $12.00 e-cig (well, some had wires but same battery voltage diff).

Anyway...use the safest best battery you can find. Good quality IMR for example.

Then get a 2.0 ohm atomizer/clearo/etc. 1.8 works too. May be hot at the fresh-charge top-end of the battery, but as the battery drains it works.

I suggest a multimeter so you can check for shorts. Also, consider a fuse for added safety. And make sure it's a well vented mod.

You can't adjust the voltage...and it isn't regulated. It follows battery voltage. So it starts off at 4.2 volts for a bit, but is pretty much in the 3.7/3.6 range for most of the use time, then drops rapidly from there.

So the only thing you can adjust is the ohms. The more ohms, the cooler the vape.

So 1.8 could be a bit hot. 2.8 a bit cool. 1.5 is too hot for me, but maybe not for you depending on what you screw onto it. See?

So try 2.0 ohms ish. Maybe have a 1.8 or a 2.3 around. You may even want the 2.3 with a fresh battery and then switch to a 2.0 after a bit.

try 2.0 ohms, thats about the highest ill go with my silver bullet. right now i im using an igo l at 1.1 ohms and its perfect for me. remember u cant adjust the voltage it just goes by the battery output at whatever charge its at. i suggest aw imr, they are the safest imo. they come off the charger at 4.2 volts, recharge them between 3.5-3.7. i usually charge them when they reach 3.7
