I've been happily my vaping with a rebuilt kanger protanks 2 atomizer ( what a difference using a cotton wick with bit of a larger coil , absolutely no dry hits and I can vape 11-12 watts in comparison with 7-8 watts where it would taste burnt at anything above that ).

Now of course , I'm looking into delving into mechanical mods , and I have a few questions . ( Which I apologize , I'm sure I could find the gyst of what I'll be asking through a .....load of googles , but it'd be a lot easier if whoever could answer these directly on one post for me )

First Off , for a mech mod . I'm thinking the Nemesis .
For a tank , the Aqua , or the Russian 91%
I Plan on building with 28awg kanthol , and will be looking for .6-.8 ohms
As for Batteries , an 18650 with I'm assuming 30 amp . I'm not sure the specifics of what amperage is the bare minimum to be safely sub-ohm vaping , as for I think 30 Amperage is over kill , but better safe than sorry .

Now a Nemesis and an Aqua on fasttech , I could get for about 60 bucks.

Now the question I have with fasttech , are the Nemesis and Aqua (or even the KayFun on there) Authentic , or clones? I'm wondering that because they're so cheap . I read that fasttech is from china , if that's the case , is ordering from Fasttech as legit as ordering from a US vendor , or is the only reason the prices are so much lower are from because it's from china , but I'd still be receiving the same exact product in terms of Machining and Quality?

I plan on making orders soon , so if anyone has any advice or input as for a mech mod , tank , and batteries , as well as the legitimacy of Fasttech ( or perhaps other vendors ) ,would be very much appreciate .

Thanks community ! :D:2cool:

The fasttech Nemesis, Aqua and Kayfun ARE clones. Is it legit? Well I have done about 10 orders with them and got everything I ordered with only 1 DOA which they refunded(and refunded the return postage). If you mean legit as in the ethics of buyng clones? That is something only you can decide for yourself.

You can get 18650 batteries in a variety of amp ratings. Mine is an efest and has a 10 amp limit. I've been running .6 ohm coils using it without any issues. That coil runs 6.8 amps. Just always make sure you test your coils before you use them and do the calculations to make sure you're within your amp limit and you're made in the shade my friend.

For going sub ohm, alot of people swear by the MNKE 's which have an amp rating of 25 continuous if im not mistaken. Or the sony's that have the amp rating of 30A, and I have recently just seen a green battery at a local B&M which was about 2200 mAh but still had a 30 amp rating.

Just use an ohm's calculator to see if your build is safe or the formula V=I*R (voltage = current* resistance). Most batteries go up to 4.2 volts when fully charged so I always check from that point instead of the 3.7 on the label but that is just my practice. So for instance I have an aw 18350 rated up to 6A continuous draw. So at 4.2v = I * 6A which would mean my lowest safe resistance would be around .7 ohms. Now keep in mind that your battery is not always putting out 4.2 volts, thats only when it is fully charged, and the 6A continuous rated batteries can pulse up to 10A without damage, but why take these chances.

That being said, I switched over to a dripper on a mech, and i cant go back to my vv/vw with the protank on it anymore. To me its like night and day. Good luck with your endeavors and just remember to put in your research and always shy on the safe side if you are not 100% sure. And there are plenty of people willing to help if you need advice.

I'll chime in, since I own at least one of everything you asked about.

First off, FastTech is legit, but slow. If you want your mech and RBA now, you need to go with a US vendor. Generally, orders with FastTech get to me in 3-4 weeks once shipped.

All of the items you listed, from FastTech, at least, are clones. (FastTech doesn't even sell a clone of the Russian 91, do they? I believe they sell plenty of Kayfun Lite clones - yes, I know the Russian 91 is a 'clone' of it, as well - but the Russian is a matte or satin brushed, rather than the shinier Kayfun).

The Nemesis clone performs well, but for my money, I'd go with the Caravela clone. I just got mine last Friday and it hits twice as hard as my Nemesis clone.

I also have an Aqua clone, which I ordered from 101vape.com, rather than FastTech, but I'd put money on them being from the same clone-house.

I have two Russian 91s, which I like quite a bit, but I'm loving the Aqua. Dual coils, easier to fill, less prone to flooding. I haven't picked up one of my Russians since I got the Aqua.

I rotate a bunch of 30A batteries in mine. I've got 2 Sony 2200 mAh batteries, 2 EH 1600 mAh batteries and 2 EFest 1100 mAh batteries in mine. No problems with any of them.

So, in conclusion, the setup I'd recommend is the setup I'm currently using. Aqua on top of the Vela clone, with your choice of good batteries.

Also, if you want to try a dripper... if you order from FastTech, just throw one into the cart. What's another 6 bucks?

If I am not mistaken, they stopped making MNKE's back in September because the factory/division switched over to producing something for a car. Avoid those at all costs, lot's of fakes.

Have not heard of this. Good to know. Been wanting to pick up some Sony 30A's anyways, now I have a good excuse to
