I currently own a Vamo V3 and a Seven 22 regulated mod and I have a Seven 30 in the mail. What advantages/disadvantages am I looking at with going to a mech. I would love to add a Hades to the quiver, but want to know the differences.
Thanks
there's a big difference..
Regulated device are CALLED VVW,VV
VOLTAGE VARIABLE DEVICES MEANS YOU CAN CONTROL HOW MANY VOLTS YOU WANT UR BATTERY TO PRODUCE,and the chip inside the mod will regulate or balance ur amps, and watts to make the story short you have to know what ohms ur coil is gonna be at that ur battery will handle,it wont leak or anything like that but it can burn the SOFTWARE CHIP if you don't know what ur doing
The VVW is a regulated device that controls the WATTS/POWER produce by ur battery, this is the safest you can be at, the device will not fire if ur coils/ohms are below the limit of the device, for example
20 watts have a .7 limit u can't build Lower than that..
The more watts the lower ohms u can go,a 30 watts device can pretty much go down to .5 ohms.im assuming ur building ur own coils??
Now mech mods are pretty much a fire at ur own risk devices there's no chips or anything like that, you have to know what ur battery capacity is at
For example
A26650 Sony has
Min 3.7 volts max is 4.2 and it can go higher and its called BURST!!!! that means the battery is beyond what the limit it has.
10 amps
Watts is 210
Unlike the regulated devices, mech mods will not regulate or balance ur battery u have the risk of BOOM,battery leak..
If ur not building ur coils I suggest stay away from mech mods..
I hope this help..
