Hello all!

I've been vaping for a few months now with a iTaste MVP 2.0 + Protank II. I was quite disappointed with the airflow and flavor I was getting from this setup so I decided to buy an Aspire Nautilus a week ago and the results were much better until today when somehow the metal tube of the "Upper Hardware" somehow got bent and now I'm SOL...

So, I've decided instead of wasting money on average tanks with poor airflow + expensive coil replacements, to purchase a Mechanical Mod + DIY atomizer + accessories from fasttech

I'm a complete newbie but I decided today after vaping a Nemesis Mod + RBA at a local shop, it's time to go mechanical and do it myself because that was a 100000x better vape than anything I have ever had before.

I need specific buying recommendations with links. My budget is $75-100.

I was thinking about something like this..

MOD: Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod ($24.63)
BATTERY: Sony US18650VTC3 18650 1600mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) [$10.19]
CHARGER: Nitecore I2 Lithium Li-ion Ni-MH Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger ($15.05)
REBUILDABLE ATOMIZER: IGO-L Rebuildable Stainless Steel Dripping Atomizer ($7.14)
OHM METER: Atomizer Resistance Tester (Ohm Meter) [$10.19]

What do you suggest I get? Do I need to buy extra wire/wick? If so, how much and what type? What other accessories do I need?

Please be specific and include links in your suggestions as I want to make sure I purchase exactly what I need and there's so many similar parts and variations of these items and it can be a bit confusing lol

Thank you so much! I really look forward to your suggestions and appreciate any and all feedback! :D

EDIT: Apparently I can't post links so just copy the name of the product from Fasttech and include the price along with it if you can't post links either

I can't really help with mech mods...I mean a mech mod is nothing more than a tube and battery so that is all up to you for your style/color

you will need to study up on oHm's law
Ohm's%20law.jpg

batteries...these are the batteries that I use (however I use them in a regulated mod so not sure if they are ok for mech mods)
Authentic Samsung ICR18650-26F 18650 3.7V 2600mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (2-Pack) with carrying case
KEEP IN MIND WHEN ORDERING BATTERIES FROM FASTTECH IT WILL TAKE FOREVER TO DELIVER!

This is the charger I use
HUANGAO HG-1210W Dual Channels Li-ion / Li-FePO4 Batteries Charger $8 ;) charges 2 batteries, built in wall charger, comes with usb adaptor and car charger

I highly suggest trying a dripping atty like the ET clone...it's a dripper but can hold 20 to 30 drops and you don't need to learn to rebuild as you can buy premade coils and if you don't want to use it as a dripper it does come with a tank attachment
Eternity Rebuildable Atomizer
Pre-made Wires and Wicks for Atomizer (50-Pack)

IF you buy batteries buy from RTDVapor. They are a bit more expensive but they ARE sony batteries. Here's a couple ideas for ya.

Copper Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod
Black Stingray Mechanical Mod-18650+18500+18350
Stillare Storm Style Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer RDA
LG 18650HE2 2500mAh 35amp - RTD vapor
Sony US18650VTC5 2600mAh 30amp - RTD vapor

Angelcigs is like fasttech but they have a US warehouse they ship goods to. So you get them in just a couple of days instead of 2-4 weeks. Ohm meter you can buy at your local vape shop. Organic cotton you can get at CVS/Walgreens. Kanthal you can find on ebay for relatively cheap.

First you do NOT need a Mech Mod to use a Rebuildable atomizer. They can and are used on all kinds of battery holding devices. From Mech mods to eGo style batteries and I've actually used a Kayfun Lite + V2 on a Halo manual G6 battery with an adapter.

So for specifics.

1) I personally would skip the Mech Mod.

2) I would buy a good regulated variable voltage device, don't care for variable wattage only devices and don't use the wattage feature on the VV/VW devices I have.
There are several GOOD Regulated Mods available. Provari being one of the best and even a Innokin iTast VV V3 and you already have one of the best box mods on the market. A Innokin MVP

3) All you need is a good brand Kayfun lite + V2 clone. I've found the EHPro's are the best I've tried (I have 6 from 3 different makers. 4 EHPro's).

4) I don't drip, don't plan on dripping, have no desire to drip. So I have no suggestions for that.

That's about it.

If you are set on getting a Mech Mod you need Sony VTC 4's or 5's. Not the Sony VTC 3.

Best of luck to you in your quest for that Perfect Vape.

P.S. That's like looking for the prefect girlfriend and or wife. It is what you make of it.

As for wire Lightning Vapes - Florida - All the RBA Materials you need! Silica Wick, Ekowool, Kanthal Wire, and more! is the place to get it. Cheap and free shipping! For a RDA, I would start out with 28 gauge Kanthal. For rebuilding protank coils, I would go with 30 gauge (rebuilding protank coils is pretty easy and the vape is so much better, it may make you love your protank again!)

I have this and love it! $15.38 GP PAPS Style 18650 Mechanical Mod - brass tube at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping So much so I plan to buy another! It's a very solid and awesome mechanical.

Starting with an Igo dripper is a good idea. They are inexpensive and well made. Clone RDA's can be hit or miss. I have a Smoktech Caterpillar, it's a pretty good dripper, not a clone and cheap: Caterpillar RDA (unfortunately these are sold out) If you go with a clone RDA get one made buy EHPro, Hciger or Infinite they make good quality products.

Madvapes has pretty good battery prices, $8 for Sony VTC4's: Sony IMR 18650, 2100mAh, Flat Top (if you buy batteries from fasttech pay for extra postage or they with take FOREVER in the mail)

rdas/rbas still have resistance? though I guess for a mech mod I could see how the chart wouldn't help since you can't really change volts.

and fasttech does ship batteries, you just have to use Malaysia Post and it takes forever (month or more)

that chart was made for prebuilt high gauge coils with limited wicking.
on rdas if using a normal gauge like 28 and cotton when I use that chart and stay in the green zone I get nothing, even at the red zone it's not enough rdas shine on the tan zone of that chart (above 20 watts)

That is just ridiculous. What do you mean you get nothing? If you build a coil in the +1 ohm range and higher you would certainly get vapor off the coil and a good vape from that chart.

There is nothing different about a RDA from a RBA and a manufactured tank atomizer. It is all about what resistance you wrap your coils.

If you're Sub-Ohming then yes you will be in the 20 watt range at lower volts, V Sq / by ohms give you watts. 3.7V Sq = 13.69 / .5 = 27.38 watts.

That same voltage with a 1.5 ohm coil would only be 9.12 watts.

If you wanted that 9+ watts with a .5 ohm coil then you would need to limit the voltage to 2.13 volts which no mod can get that low. But you would still get vapor off the coil.

By the way not everyone Sub-Ohms and not everyone wants to Sub-Ohm even if they use a RDA.

I'm in the minority, but I don't like my nemesis clone (not from FT) at all. Someone else already mentioned my favorite, the Paps clone https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007667/1677404-gp-paps-style-18650-mechanical-mod (it also comes in 18350 and 18500 versions, but stick with the brass ones)

That and their KFL V2 clone https://www.fasttech.com/p/1700500 make an idea setup as far as I'm concerned. I build my coils around 1.7 ohms using cotton or rayon wick. With this setup I no longer feel the need to constantly look for something newer and better. This is the one for me.

The numbers on the chart are fine, it's the color coding that's a little off for RBAs. I vape 5 to 6 watts on a protank, but 9 watts is perfect for a KF. 15 is the highest I've tried, but 9 to 10 watts is what I prefer.
