Not new to vaping, new to mechanicals. Stupid question. If mechanical mods have no circuit boards then why are some kickable and others are not?
Thanks!

The internal size of the mech (battery area) determines if it can be kicked. Some have too small a diameter for the kick. Others have fixed tubes & for whatever reason the kick with the smaller size battery (ie an 16850 tube using a 18500 battery + kick) won't fit correctly.

because of the size. some are longer or telescopic so can take a kick some don't. my advice if you are new to vaping, don't look at mechs just yet.

I just order a Nemesis and when doing it I noticed it comes with a ring you use with a kick or the short fuse allowing all sizes of battery to be kicked. I also noticed that Smoktek has an add on for most mods that gives added space for the kick as well as an ego/510 treading for 24.95 including Smoke kick which is 5 - 12 watts or the same as the Kick 1 however the Kick 2 goes to 15 watts. I didn't order the kick at this time as this is also my first mod and wanted to just try one for a while before I decide on a Kick. I also like the fact the Nemesis has a built in air control and takes 18350, 18500/18490, 18650 and all with a kick if needed.
