First off I'm speaking from what I've read about these fuses not from experience. If you have a hot spring in your mod then you don't need a fuse. The fuse takes up battery space so your batts might not fit with it in or it can compress the spring too much. If the fuse fails then you have a potential bomb on your hands. I think the safest way to go would be to put a hot spring in your mod if you can and use IMR batteries like you're doing. With a hot spring, if you get a short the spring will collapse and disengage the battery shutting the mod off.

Hello Veterans!

When using mods such as Chi You, EA, ELA, Sioux, Nemesis, or GP Paps with ONLY AW IMR batteries and a kick, how many of you definitely recommend using fuses such as the 2 cent for safety or the shortstop? And if it comes down to having to use one, which one would you all recommend and why? I'm aware there is a 2 cent version 2 that is reusable like the shortstop but I'm wondering if one outdoes the other or it is all the same. Thanks for your time.

The Kick has short circuit protection (and low battery indicator), so the 2cent or Shortstop fuses shouldn't be needed.

The Shortstop trips at 5A and resets after being tripped, meaning that it can be reused once it's been tripped.
The VapeSafe 2cent fuse has two versions; version 1 is a one time use fuse that trips at 7A; version 2 can be tripped and reset multiple times, but trips at 6A.
