Mechanical Mods

Hey guys thinking about buying a mechanical mod, and I've been looking into getting a zen 2 along with the 510 connector so i can use drippers. I was wondering if someone who collects mods that has a bunch of them along with the zen 2 can either tell me if this is a good or bad choice for the ammount of money. thanks

Ok, i have a zen with a 510 and i have a 20$ mech mod. As far as dripping goes, the 20$ does the same thing the zen does. That being said i use my zen for the carto tank. Don't get me wrong i love my zen, and would't trade it for anything. But if you just want a mech for dripping... but hey it's your money

Zen's are great, but before you shell out the cash, I would get a cheap mechanical, genesis and dripper to see if it's your thing. I would order a chepo mechanical, a genesis clone and a few different styles of drippers from fasttech. You could get a mech, batteries and a charger and 2-3 drippers and a genesis clone for around $70. If you decide it's your thing, than just trade off that stuff on the classes or keep it as a backup and splurge on a Zen. I can get my cheep mech and dripper from FT to preform almost as good as my Lux and Trident, just a slight difference and 90% cheaper setup. Although I do like my Lux setup more than my cheap stuff, it's nice to have a backup to take fishing so I'm not loosing $250 worth of mod. Or you can go ahead and splurge and just trade it off if you don't like it for something else.
