Mechanical or souldering

Some mods say they are mechanical and some use souldering to attach the wire from the switch to the adaptor. What is mechanical? Which one have mechanical and which ones use souldering.

The reason I ask this is I have a mod that uses souldering and have had trouble with the wires breaking.

Mechanical is best no wire no solder the only part to fail would be springs going soft which are easy to replace
