So as im sittin by my computer, just got off work, having a drink and vaping my own diy juice, I am thinking about my vaping journey and realize its not even close to finished.

I am using a nemesis clone which I have modified and polished the connections and a dual 18650 mechanical box mod I just built last week. Theres a designated rda on each (plume veil on the nemi and drilled out origen on the box), whose builds reflect the best use of their individual power abilities(for now, until I discover something better). Both builds are around .2ohm with dual coiled 24ga kanthal, organic cotton wicks, and im using sony vtc4 and purple efest 35amp batteries. How far ive come in the last year.

I quit smoking using blu cigs around this time last year, I graduated to ce4s and ego batteries soon after, but always wanted a cigarette. I soon purchased a vamo v3, a protank and later a kayfun lite and an orchid, which were great at the time. Sub ohming was an activity done by cloud chasers and since my vamo wasnt able to fire sub ohm coils, I stuck to builds that worked, and work they did. At this point I was still using locally made juice from my local b&m and giving them money every week, sometimes more. I was happy, but started learning there where better things out there, for relatively cheap.

Enter fall of 2014. I bought an aluminum m16 clone (which broke really quickly) and an el cheapo helios clone, I was hooked. I found my kayfun sitting on my desk while I ventured deeper and deeper below that magical 1ohm mark. The vapes kept getting warmer, thicker, and more flavorful. I stopped at .2 as it was the best for me (and did not draw insane 'blow my face off' amps), and started looking at other rdas and a better mechanical mod.

Now, im sittin pretty with two mechanicals, three rdas, and a couple hundred ml of my own homemade e liquid (custards and strawberries mostly) steeping their way to greatness.

This evening, with some trepidation, I did a build on my protank (1.2), kayfun (.9), and my orchid (.6) and attached them to my mechanicals. Orchid first... good but not great. Kayfun next, draw too tight to get enough vapor, taste meh. Protank last, draw so tight I about blew a blood vessel, and very little vapor, flavor? double meh. Poo poo every one.

After vaping my old stand bys I felt disappointed, and then like a glutton. What wonderful flavor I now have! What satisfying vapor my builds produce! How cheaply my juice is obtained!!!! What a pig I am!!!! All of this lovely goodness ive found, after casual research and an average desire for knowledge.
I am truly spoiled by my high amp batteries, low ohm builds, trusty mechanicals, and home made e liquid.

I dont normally share like this, but I felt compelled this evening.

Good story bro. Not unusual, kind of the same road a lot of us go down... but certainly true and brings some fond memories of back in the day when an iClear 16 was heaven. Lol. And it still is for many. The proliferation of new and better devices just keep this vaping journey exciting and more rewarding as we go. Of course being the gluttons that we are, we're always looking for more. :D

Must be a PA thing tonight. I'm sitting here, vaping an Aerotank with a 0.8ohm dual straight from Kanger, giving the old warhorse it's last shot before it gets handed off. I'm honestly not depressed by it, and have managed to keep my hand off my 0.4ohm Big Dripper flavor machine. The old bull might have to be kept around for discreet vaping purposes, holiday gatherings coming up and all that.

Well, I'm not from PA, but this old Trucker likes the way this thread is starting off. I started Vaping with a Janty starter kit, but dripping while steering 78,000 lbs. at 75 MPH on the Interstate just don't cut it. A Forum Moderator (ClassWife) directed me towards Reos Mods, and I've been vaping on Reos ever since. Back then, before RBA's, we used BF atomizers and BF cartos. I remember being happy whenever a fresh supply of 3.0 dual coil cartos, five in each little white box, would arrive. I think my first RBA was a Hornet, which is lying in the bottom of my RBA box (Tackle box from Wal Mart). Then the RM2 came out, and it was a whole new world.
As you can tell by my avatar I still enjoy Reos Mods. Not pictured is my recent addition- an LP/SP Grand with an RM5 dual coil RBA. A different animal, for sure. I am not entirely sold on this 0.6 ohm vaping, I am finding I prefer a cooler, smoother vape. I will admit that sub-ohming does add a whole new dimension to some of my favorite juices. Who really knows where Vaping is going next ? I am just glad it is around. 40 Years of smoking was enough.
