Hi everyone,

I have an eVic with SS tube and top skirt from highendsmoke.de. recently, my control head went dead. At any rate, rather than replace the control head, I was curious if there was something out there i could replace the head with... i.e. a mechanical switch and 510 connection.

thanks for any thoughts...

joyetech is selling their "Easy Head" now. Not mech, but apparently less involved than the computer head. A mech adapter wouldn't be a bad idea, though.

Thanks. I've seen those, but was just kind of hoping there was a better route to go. I mean, there are some nice battery tubes for the eVic... i.e. bOd by Leo, and Highend smokes new telescoping tube... I just thought there might be a switch and top cap to turn those nice tubes into mech devices.

Even if i were to replace the control head, it be very nice to be able to switch it out to a mech when in the mood.

I mean, it seems to me that if someone were to create a fairly simple mechanical mod using the same threading as the eVic, that'd itd be a nice selling point... Buy and use it as a mech, with the option of throwing in an eVic control head for those days you want to go VV. i know i'd buy it!

I waited for months to get The bOd. BTT I received it my opinions of the Evic started changing, so never bought a control head. This might just keep it out of the classifieds.

does the bOd have any venting in the tubes itself? I presume it'll be similar to the tubes i have and are vented via the end cap.

trying to get it done through the link you sent... erokok2u. any place better? since they haven't responded beyond the initial correspondence... but deal isn't actually done yet. not too many vendors seem to carry these and the classies don't seem to have any atm...

My unused and unaltered bOd has only one vent located on the bottom cap in the form of a single hole aprox. 1/8" in diameter. It looks like adding the mechanicals of the Lavafire Super 6 will defeat the venting. I don't see myself drilling holes the bOd as I might still throw it to the classy's - pending the decision to order a Super 6 to breathe life into what is currently a very fancy stainless steel can sitting around my house.
