Mechanical Vs Regulated

I apologize if this isn't the right place to post this, and fully understand if it needs to be moved!

Ok...so pardon my ignorance, I'm still really new at vaping. I personally use an eGo style device, but my boss is a serious vaper, and as a side project, since I am a writer, has asked me to help him out with a blog.

He asked me to come up with a list of mechanical mods and regulated mods, but to be quite honest, I don't know enough about this yet to know which ones are which. I kinda understand the difference between to two, but I was wondering if you guys could help me out by giving me some examples of each?

I'm not really looking for "which ones are best" at this point, just need some examples. I can do my own research and stuff, just need a kickstart to know WHERE to look!

Thanks for your help!

DJ's list is a pretty good starting point. As far as which is which though, basically the circuitry in the regulated mods is used to keep the battery power at a set constant level (as well as perform other functions depending on which device you get) where as the power in devices with no circuitry is dictated by the amount of power in the battery.

With the simi-mechanicals, they behave pretty much like mechanicals in that the battery controls the voltage level. The circuitry is there for fire button function in these types.
