I saw John Kay and Steppenwolf several times at Summerfest and the last time he pretty much said it was his swan song for touring. Damn shame.

He wrote and recorded every instrument on all his albums. The band was simply hired guns when he went out to tour. Top notch performer.

I love that guy, I've been watching No Direction Home, a great, but very long, docu/movie. Absolutely amazing, I can't believe he's 70. Stop the clock already!
