Mega carto question

Yep. They go over the battery, like the cone does. The atty is recessed.

Thanks for the response although I`m not sure that answers the question I had. Will they work on a flush mount, or just basically the top ring of the battery connection sticking out of a box mod? doesn`t sound like it from your description if the atty is recessed to cover the threads that the cone covers. Like a 3.7 box mod/nicostick? I just cant do cartos at 3.7 so I`m liking the idea of a mega carto on a 5V, but the ones I have the battery connector is nearly flush with the unit, if that makes sense?

Thanks

Edit to add: I imagine I could dremel them to fit, maybe cut them off so as to expose the atty connection. Not sure it`d be worth it.

Dremel or Xacto works. See this:

The next one I cut will be a millimeter longer for aesthetics and if need be, I'll cut some notches out - like a 510 batt is cut - the rectangular notches for air.... But it actually works fine if you cut it flush with the silver washer.

Thanks Kent, I had yet to see one, and as I expected after Joe`s description and pic, that you`d cut off the skirt as you call it.

You expected correctly ;-) It takes some focus with the dremel - putting either it or the dremel (what I did) in a vice with a soft "collar" helps.
