I've had mine for a few days now (type B cylinders) and have had good luck with 100% VG juices not leaking or just a tiny bit of leaking using the stock filter in them. I suspect a thinner juice would be more prone to leaks. Just start dripping until it starts to pool on the top, 60 - 70 drops for me; although those first few drops on a fresh cart take a while to absorb. When it comes time to refill, I can get another 30-40 drops in so I'm not vaping them dry but it's still many hours of vaping for me.
There's the standard fluval, blue foam mods, Stainless steel scrubbie pads too (make sure the don't come with soap/cleaner in them) and one mod that used a coffee stirrer, fluval AND blue foam over in the cartridge mods thread.

With thinner juices, I've had pretty good luck pulling the filler out, filling the cart a little more than half full of juice, stuffing the filler back in, and then topping it off with a few drops.

Marineland bonded filter pad blue foam works pretty good as a direct replacement for the stock filler, but you have to experiment quite a bit to get the exact right amount in the cart for good wicking and less leaking/flooding. - The blue foam, pyramid tea bag, and coffee straw mod works best, but can make re-filling a hassle because you can't just take it out of the cart to fill without it coming undone. - I would add a step to that mod by tying fly string or fishing line around the center of it once it is put together so you can pull it out of the cart without it coming undone.

JSYK - Copper should NOT be used. Copper can form some nasty oxides that can make you Very ill.

Do you know the brand or type of stainless steel scrubbie pads I should look for. I'm so tired of searching through all the threads. thanks

This post mentions Lustersheen, available on Ebay, and Evercare, available at Target.

I have no experience with either but zoiDman recommends jammins as much scrubby in the cart as you can and trimming it neat. This was on a 510 cart but it should/might work on a Mega cart. I'd like to heard your results if you give it a try.

Been using the Ego Mega attys/cart for a few days now, cylinder ones, with the stock filling. With 100% VG strawberry, no problem... wicks good, no leaks, but kinda lacking on TH (juice fault, not the atty). With 50% 50% pg/vg mix, menthol, great vapor, awesome th, no problems, wicks good, no leaks.

Now with 100% PG RY4, leaks like an open faucet.

I've tested 3 attys, each one dedicated to a juice. I'm still to try the leaky juice on the working atty and the good juice on the leaky atty to confirm if the juice viscosity is causing the leaking problem or if that leaky atty is just problematic.

PS: If you hated refilling the 510 standard carts, you gonna be in heaven with the megas.

I've been using the mega attys for a few months now except on my Mods which I use 801 attys. They are the best I've found and I've tried most everything including the eGo tanks and various cartomizers. Combined with a 1000 mah battery they are hard to beat. They hold over twice the amount of juice as the tanks and are much easier to refill

Yeah, I like the vape one the 510 carts but hated the small capacity and have been searching for something better.

Butterbean03 from breezesmokes mentioned some 1.2ml 510 tanks that he says he's getting good feedback from customers about. I ordered a few to try them out. - I use my tank, my mega, and a 510 atty every day. There are pros and cons for each.. and I do like my megas.. but if I could just use 510s and not have to drip or top off carts all the time, I'd be pleased.

Haven't seen that post in a long time. Funny when you go back and read something you wrote a long time ago.

BTW - SS Scubbie Pads works very well. SS Steel Wool is more difficult to find the right amount to use so it wicks but doesn't leak.

BTW2 - Feel free to bumb the post. I'm sure there is a huge new crowd that has never seen it. It's shameless to bumb your own thread.

Thanks..appreciate that! Do you recommend any cartos that I can use on my ego?

Have you tried the boge low resisitance cartos? They're very good IMO.
510 Series Cartomizers
I contacted the owner regarding the ego cartos and he said they suck, they don't carry them. So far he's been very helpful, honest great shipping/prices/cs. Good luck.

For a regular, filler type carto, I think these are the best.

FIVE (5) Joye 510 compatible e-Cigarette blank cartomizers (Manufactured by Boge)

If you want to try something that has the potential to be better than a regular cart, but also the potentail to be worse, you should try an E2 Cartomizer.

GotVapes FLüXomizer™ CE2 Carto - 510 REG STEEL .8ML 2.6-2.8 ohm [gotvapes-510regsteel2.6-flux] - $8.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The E2's require more maintenance but when there on, they are out of this world.
