...yes they will...,personally, I prefer the single coil 1.7 Resurrectors from CCV...they give a warmer vape and give as good or better vapor production...a tip...if using the dual coils, give them a 2-3sec warm up before you start your vape...this will give them a chance to warm up and start vapor production before you start your vape.........

WELCOME TO THE ECF

They will work but, the power it draws will mess up the button on your ego. In other words, there's a chance that using a DC will kill it. So, it's not recommended. If you want a warmer vape then as Madjack has already suggested. You should give the resurrectors a try.

If you don't want e-cigs to be banned then you should sign up:

What's the voltage of that ego? if it's 3.2 it's going to be a very limited vape.

Watts = heat.. and you calculate that as (volts^2 / resistance). So, 7 watts, but that's being distributed across the coils, so around 3.5 watts per coil (also dependent on the actual surface area of the coils/wraps).

My sweet spot is in the 8-9 watt range. This would be mighty "cool"...

How many eGo type batts have you lost due to dual coil cartos?

It's becoming obvious, due to my personal and others' observations and posts, that your statement no longer holds any 'water'. I'm a very heavy vaper and have yet to lose an eGo batt (650, 900 & 1000) in over six months of heavy vaping with dual coils. And my batts are at least seven months old in that I bought some used right after I started vaping.

Yes, I've read of folk that 'lost' batts due to dual coil cortos in the past, but not recently. Actually, I wonder how many of those batt/cart combos had center post issues as opposed to dual coil induced failures.

One more item... Would vendors sell kits with the dual coil cartos if the cartos would 'destroy' the batts? I think not!

I don't mean to get huffy, but I think it a shame that the best eGo combo I've tried (been through 'em all) is being maligned unjustifiably, guiding many new vapers away from a very fulfilling vape!

I have a 1100mah 3.7 (I think) volt. What do you all think?
It's going to be a cool vape.. 8 watts spilt on 2 coils. but that's fine with many folks. Not my thing, but whatever works for you, is cool by me ;)

The dual coils will increase the battery drain, with a cooler vape than you would get with a LR (I don't invent the laws of physics, I just cite them).

IMO the best vape I've had at 3.7v was on a CCV resurrector. Dual cores are on order, but that will be at 5v.

...can...may...they can...but they may not...while it can happen(I guess), there are thousands of folks who do...I'm one of them, along with my wife and step-daughter, who have been using LR cartos since we started vaping just over 3 mos ago and have had no problems with our Rivas using 1.5 to 2.0 ohm dual coils and single coils...I have since switched to an E-Power but the rest of the family still uses the Rivas(I do too) so, if it is what ya wanna do...go for it...it is one reason to have SPARES for everything..........

I apologize, you are all experts on this topic. I don't know what I'm talking about. Dual coils are AWESOME on ego batteries. They are the best I've ever used! Go ahead and use them, they are 100% safe! Nothing wrong can happen with them at all. :)
I don't claim to be an expert, Just stating my experiences with the eGo and DC carto's, and I think that goes for the other posters too, just their individual finding after long term use.

Thanks everybody for the advice. I am a noob so just trying to learn. I do value all views, that is why I asked. It is great to hear the pros and cons. I do like a warmer vape and a good TH. I use the Boge 2.0 LR right now and do enjoy it. I did get the eGo-T, luckly I did order the cartomizers also because within 30 minutes I knew that tank was not going to work even with a LR atomizer. I can not even get the dang tanks to vape most of the time. So off with the tank and on with the cartomizer.

I fired my ego tanks quickly.. To much leaking, inconstant delivery.. just not a great experience.

If you want a warm vape, use the math of Joules law ( Joule's laws - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). I went for a few weeks with the "what's going to work with hardware" mentality, until I got popped in the head by a friend and EE, who reminded me of stuff I learn my freshman year in college in EE 101/102. (I switched to CS, so forgive me).

Again, watts = heat, and watts = V^2 / r..

Most people settle into an 8-10 watt range comfort factor, albeit single coil. Things get weird with dual or try coils, although it works out in the end.

IMO, Buy for that 8-10 range and then adjust to preference. 3.7 ^ 2 = 13.6. 13.6 / 1.5 = ~9 which is in the sweet spot, assuming single coil..

Hi All,
I want to say firstly that I really appreciate and I'm grateful for all of the knowledge and experience that I gain from referring to this site for information.

So, I've been vaping since September 2011 and my Doctor is very happy with me. So happy that at my last visit, they removed (smoker) from my file. Yaaay!

Anyway, I have a comment/concern regarding the new dual coil I have been using for the past two weeks with my ego battery. I absolutely love Gorilla Juice and I read that other people are using this 100% vg in their dual carts. What I'm finding is that the carts sort of pull the taste right out of the juice. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks
