Well, I put a dual coil in the nimbus last night, 28awg/12 wraps on an 18 gauge needle. It consistently metered at .7 ohms, and didn't look to be at any risk of shorting on any post or the deck. I did a few dry burns and everything was fine, then I fired for around two seconds and let it go. There was no sparking or shorting of any kind, but when I looked at the second coil, it had fallen considerably and had melted.

I pulled it out, metered the remaining coil at 1.3 ohms, and have been vaping it since last night. What caused that coil to melt? Did I just burn it too long?
