That doesn't always work with whistle tips and manual batts though. I trim about 1/16 off teh carts and don't worry about aligning. This is a topic that IMO should be added in the stickies somewhere, as I see it asked a lot.

i agree

just for s's and g's i trimmed the top long pieces of the cart in a v the other day to see if that would work, still testing

i made a picture :p

the circles on the left depict the cart on top left, and atty bridge on bottom left....this is how they should be aligned.

on the right i show a side view of how i trimmed the cart just a tad to see if that will help w/o having to align it.

also added a photoshopped real picture of what it looks like...i just snipped it with clippers.

It's more then that, it's burning the whole cartridge. all around the lip closest to the atty. If anything I would have to cut 1/16 off the cartridge like zbasspro said.

Like most of us I use the manual batteries and I've noticed several times I've forgot to let go of the button after taking a drag, duh! But the most damage I've done so far is just burning the filter and making it stick to the atty, didn't even burn up the atty. but no damage to the filter holder yet. I guess I didn't help you much but at least I got it off my chest, lol.
