I have seen people post to a thread and then reply to their own post three times if not more. Fairly easy to hit those numbers if you reply to your own posts instead of editing you original post
You can also merely agree with someone else's point and add something meaningless & irrelevant, such as "This is so true!", which adds nothing to the conversation, but ratchets up your post count.

lol i have browsed here so long and i just decided to join. Sucks i have to wait to reach my post limits but i understand the need for them and im being patient......whoohooo one more post for me lol jk
The guidelines require all posts to be pertinent and useful or risk being deleted. I'm too new at this to be very useful so although I joined a couple of weeks ago, this is only my second post. I hope they don't delete it!
That's what I originally thought. By the time I found out otherwise, I was already a veteran. So, I missed getting a Welcome New Veteran thread on my "turning" day.
