As I get ready to go to work today, I just wanted to remember those that died for our freedom and to remind myself what this Holiday is all about.
My Father was a WW2 Vet and I lost a few friends during the Vietnam war.
I was looking at different sites about this Holiday and learned some things I never knew, like the reason for this day being the last day of May. A General Logan who fought in the Civil War decided that it was a unlikely anniversary for a Civil war battle. Also at 3pm local time all Americans are to observe a minute of silence to remember the soldiers who died.
This quote has stayed with me-
' The Dead Soldier's Silence Sings Our National Anthem'- Aaron Kilbourne

I want to wish everyone of our soldiers a big Thank you for what you do for us, to keep us safe, and to keep our freedoms in tact. And my heart goes out to all the families of those that have lost their lives to give us the freedoms that most of us take for granted day in and day out.

To all of our Veterans and Active Military. Here is a big THANK YOU!!
