Hi,

Are there some of you who have some mental illness ( eventhought those things could be sometimes chemical inbalances, the root is sometimes complex) like anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizoprenia and others and benefit from vaping nicotine?

I ask this after reading lots of new studies about nicotine benefits and I ' d like to know your experiences and thoughts about that.

Can you confirm mental benefits from nic ?

Yeah, I've read before that it helps with certain mental illnesses, and that quite a large number of schizophrenics smoke cigarettes.

I have an anxiety disorder and it seems to help me. I tried quitting for six weeks and it was WAY worse without the cigs. I was about to go back to analogs and I just ordered e-cigs instead. I actually feel a lot better now, but I think that has to do with having my habit back more than anything.

I don't know why people are all over you for posting questions. I don't see that any of these are trying to "bash" e-cigs or anything like that. You are just asking questions. I'm personally not offended, but I'm new, so that doesn't matter, lol.

I have ADHD, and without caffeine or nicotine, I would probably end up using some serious sh*t. The fact is that these two substances keep me focused, period. But the problem with nicotine is, well, the tobacco, but since I'm starting to vape now, this isn't a problem anymore! YAY!

I used Ritalin, but don't work for me, since I like to drink with my friends while playing poker on weekends.

Once you go vap, you never come back!

I have depression and anxiety, and nicotine provides some benefits for both. It's not everything, though, as mentioned in other threads. I suspect it might either be my vaping technique (might not be sucking enough) or the components of analogs missing from e-juice, as mentioned in several other threads - especially the MAO inhibition properties of tobacco.

the voice in my head tells me to say "NO" :p

The voices in my head disagree with the voices in your head...jk

I have dealt with depression and was told over ten years ago by my psychiatrist (I'm on celexa and have been for that long at least) that I'm a lifer. There is definitely something missing in ejuice...but it has made it way easier to transition from smoking 24/7/365 to one a day and weekends. I hope to continue the transition further, but I'm not stressing myself out trying to do that...it's made it easier.

ADD and ADHD sufferers benefit greatly from nicotine...I've been self-medicating for years, and it just won't go away! Hang in there...keep trying.
Helps to calm those stuttering moments, from the time one's mouth is in gear till the brain catches up with it. Or Vise-Versa. Who's-it's and what's-it's. You know what I'm trying to say.
At our house we call it a slipping differential.
