I got some in the mail yesterday and opened the package to find that about 50% of them had melted into a liquid form. Will they re-crystalize or is this permanent??

They aren't supposed to melt in the mail? It gets reallllly hot where I live and I read that heat causes them to melt. I got them from PA if that's any help. The package of the crystals was like 40% liquified when I got them.

Place the container in a cool place and the product will quickly return to a partially solid form. You will not be able to re-create the crystals which were shipped to you, the product will now be a partially solid product which you must break up by banging on a counter the plastic bag in which they were shipped or by gently hitting the bag with a rubber mallet. We will not accept returns because you received melted, partially melted or solid menthol crystals NOT in loose crystal form. We have no control over temperatures while in transit to the customer, when this product left our air-conditioned warehouse it was in its crystal form. Be sure you understand this before you order during hot weather, we are located in very hot S. Florida."

as a general rule of thumb imho, when ordering crystals, a 1oz bag can go a very very long way is stupid cheap. I always order my crystals in the fall or winter when I know the shipping temp will not be high enough to liquify them. In the event they do liquify for whatever reason, they will always reharden. When mixing its alot easier to mix in a crushed powder form of the crystals anyway. faster melting this way in the liquid.

At least your menthol isnt ruined. Just crush it to powder and your good to go. When it does get cold, just make another order. I usually put my crystals in one of the presentation boxes my PV's came in and then leave it in a relatively humidity free place in my house. Havent lost a batch of crystals using that method yet.
LOL Xanax, I made the same exact mistake! Thank goodness they put the little bag of crystals into another ziploc baggie! I just stuck them in the fridge and they are fine. I agree, a little bit goes a looooooooooong way. I only had to add 1 drop and it totally made a difference to my e-juice.
