Another thing I am wondering about is, I just added some to the 3ML I was using and it disolved pretty quick. I have read about disolving them in alcohol or water... why not just PG?

44--With PG and a small batch--most do not run into an issue with the crystals reforming again. But when you make a larger batch or are using VG, it is wise to grind up the menthol crystals and disolve them in grain achohol, otherwise they tend to just crystalze again.

that he uses Lorann's menthol flavoring. The Lorann menthol is pure oil.
He uses only a drop.

Does anyone have any experience with using the Lorann menthol ?
From everything I have read, it should ruin your atomizer, as it has oil.

Is this true in small quantities also?

I'll experiment, but if anyone has tried this,
I'd be grateful for your experience.

QFT - I didn't think this could possibly work from a corp type pharm like walgreens or cvs, give stuff away for free!?

I was wrong, I tried last night after reading your post and sure as sht, CVS came off of a few grams. Walgreens had no clue what I was talking about but I live in part of the state that isn't exactly the brain bowl so it was to be expected.

Anyhow the guy at CVS said they got them, I asked what is the smallest amount sold, he asked how much I needed - told him a few grams. I couldn't believe it but he said come on down and he'll give them for free. The jar they came out of was an ounce and I think was marked 4.99

I was about to pick up a bottle of humco glycerin for 7.99 but decided to check walmart - same exact bottle for 2.99.

Menthol can be minty, depending on the strength. But, it's nothing to play with in crystal and pure liquid form. Those of us that use it, dissolve it in either 100% distilled water, or a mix of distilled with absolute 100 proof vodka. It does improve the sensation of a throat hit.....more so for the menthol smoker, but not everyone is a menthol smoker, so you may not like it.

If your stateside, (you should atleast update your location) you could go to a pharmacy chain and ask for menthol crystals, in that way....not crystal menthol (you'll draw much attention to yourself) anyway, ask for 2 grams. Most chains, such as CVS, Walgreens can't price that amount, so it's likely they'll give it to you for free since your not asking for a large amount that they couldn't just give it to you(this is how I did it for a month, before they caught on.) You don't need a script, but most pharmacies don't sell it out in the open.

You really should use gloves or tweezers when handling and be careful that you don't crush it into a fine powder. Obviously, the finer it gets, the more likely it can go airborne....menthol concentrate is something you don't want to get in your eyes. It can blind you and if not...., well imagine someone came by and rubbed icyhot in your eyes.

A few of them looked it up in their catalogs and saw they could order it, at something like $100 for a container. I also tried a pharmacy in St. Louis and got the same reaction. Where else would carry them? I'll get them online if necessary, but it would be nice to just drop by someplace and get some.

I had the same experiance, and ordered them online from the recommended guy on ebay.

Good question, the ones I found that can get it treat it like gold. 127.00 for 4oz from one place! Ouch...

I did the ebay thing and works like a champ!

i dont understand how can they charge $127.00 for 4oz of cystals that is what we are talking about right? it must be something else they are thinking of!!

and father Luke if im not mistaking that lorann's something list they items as ......oil but its really not made with oil! thats why it should be fine to use it as alot of other people do plus me and no problems here
someone correct me where i stand if im wrong about lorann's i read it somewhere but cant find it> its probably buried here in the massive post bank somewhere
