Menthol crystals?

Can I please get some advice from the menthol crystal users out there?

I use about one smaller crystal to ever 5ml. but I would like it stronger.

what is the maximum amount anyone has mixed in a 10ml. bottle or 30ml. bottle?

Also, I have noticed when adding the crystals, it browns my empty cartridge filler, in about a day or two, is there a filler that it wouldnt do this too?

Please reply, and give my some tips, menthol users out there.

Assuming that you're using nicotine in your juice, that should happen no matter what. Exposure of nicotine to air is supposed to give it a brown discoloration. Nicotine is exposed to air nowhere more acutely than in your cartridges.

I refined a menthol drops recipe a while back using menthol crystals and have had great success with it. Consistently the same menthol vape after vape.

You can adjust the recipe if you want it stronger or lighter.

mamu has a good method.

I use 1/4 teaspoon packed tight of crushed crystals in 5ml of PG. 5-7 sec warming in the microwave and they are all dissolved. VG will work too. Water will dissolve them but as soon as it cools it recrystalizes.

1-2 drops per ml in any e liquid is abt like a Salem analog.

I bought 4oz of menthol needle crystals off ebay. Its a lifetime supply!

I dont want to inhale the alcohol cuz i quit drinking 8 months ago.
can i just mix the crushed crystals with my Veggie glycerine.
should i just follow vaporer mix, 1/4 teaspoon to 5 ml. vg.
Or is there something else i can substitute the alcohol with.
i went form 3 packs a day to about 8 analogs and the ecigs,
if i can get my menthol mix strong enough, i know i quit analogs outright.
I was just adding medium size crystal to about 7 or 8 ml. of menthol 24mg. juice,
it added bite, but i need it stronger.
Hopefully, one of ur formulas would do the trick.
What do u guys think?

VG is much thicker than PG. Most thin it with distilled water. When I did this it turns hazy and some dissolved crystals reform in the bottle depending on % water used.
PG solves this problem and keep the viscosity of the solution the same as most e juices.
I got PG at my local pharmacy. You can get it online or from a Tractor Supply Store.

Edit: Strong enough? Using the formula above 1 drop per ml is like a Salem ultra light, 2 drops/ml like a very heavy menthol, 3 drops/ml is stronger than Kool straights.

Do u think I can give it a try then with the VG, and add some water to lessen the thickness? I really dont have a way to get out, right now. IS there any other way to get the PG at a less amount, than a gallon? What does the PG stand for, i keep thinkin Propelyne glycol.
One more question, what do u mean by 1/4 teaspoon packed tight in 5ml.
What do u pack the menthol crystals in.
I know ill crush them up, but can I just put them in 10ml. bottle, then add the vg and the water, then nuke? U think its worth a try.

ive smoked menthol most of my smoking career so it was only fitting i bought 1/4 oz of crystals i didnt want to miss any tricks so i bought a bottle of drops as well. it says on the bottle 66% crystals 33% ethanol. i had tried just putting a crystal in the vg and letting it sit there a few days before i used it ( the VG that is ) and it worked OK but it was much easier with the drops for me. so im just about out of drops thinking i will soon have to figure out wth i am going to do with the 1/4 oz. and it dawned on me what if i put a couple into the small amount that remains in the bottle ( about 1ml ) i put some in shook it up you could see the funky mix it does a while and then it was all clear again. so i decided put some more in before you know it i put in the whole 1/4 oz and the bottle is more full up then when i got it. it seems quite a bit stronger as well. just my experiences btw it was $6.50 for both of them

Yes, its Propoleyne Glycol. You can get it at the pharmacy. They should sell you 4 oz.
It doesnt require a prescription or even to sign for it.
I crushed the crystals to a powder. They crush very easy. Then packed them in a 1/4tsp as tight as I could...level. Add that to 5ml of PG and just warm it barely and you're ready to go. 1 drop per ml of liquid. It's a pretty consistant method. Sometimes I'll make 2ml of juice and add 3 drops. It's strong. A little goes a long way.

I just never had much luck using VG and water with menthol. VG thickens the mix to much alone and if I went 60/40 VG/distilled water, it got hazy and just wasnt as good.
It may be diff with another brand of VG and work fine. There is another thread on here with menthol mixers. You might ask there and a certain brand VG works for them. I don't like alcohol either. It can really thin a thick batch if you need it though, but harshens the taste.

Used about a little over a teaspoon for 22ml. of vg.
Turned out great,
Ive been using, 3 drops per mil. Definnitely tastes good.
But, I could use it a little stronger.
I will go 2 teaspoos to 30ml. next time I mix, and see how it turns out,
Worse case scenario, Ill only need like 2 drops per ml. Right?

Yes, easy to add more and you can fine tune a batch like I did.
3 drops per 2ml = 1.5 drops per ml

Glad you got it going....menthol exsmokers have that added problem.
The crystals are true menthol, just like analogs. Not the minty kind.
Minty can be good, but I want true menthol like I've been trained to have. lol
