Menthol Crystals

Hi everyone! New to diy and was wondering is there a link anywhere about mixing crystals? Everything I have read is different. I guess I'm looking for a master mix, using only pga and vg. I don't like the "recipes" that call for half a bottle filled with crystals add such and such and shake! If anyone can point me in the right direction,I will be a happy vaper!

For 1000 grams
660 grams menthol crystals
340 grams PG

So, about 1 third PG and two thirds Menthol, by weight.

Thank you for the link. I have an allergy to pg, so I was trying to find out more about crystals. I just found the diy recipes in the diy section,so I'm looking in there,hopefully I can find one. Thank you again for helping.

I always used PGA because the crystals stay suspended better in PGA than in PG. I have not used them in a long time though. Same formula as with PG. Good luck!

I bought an ounce of crystals a year ago. To make a high concentrate of menthol liquid, I crushed half of it (about 14 grams) and put that in a 30ml bottle. It pretty much fills it. then put in 15ml of PG. That will fill the bottle. Shake vigorously til the crystals are mostly dissolved. Then get you a sink of hot tap water and drop the bottle in there. The warmth will finish dissolving the crystals. Let the sink come back to room temperature and take the bottle out. All the crystals should be dissolved. I find this method keeps the menthol from re-crystallizing and it makes for a very potent batch of menthol. Only a drop of two per ml is all you need for flavoring. I'm only half way through that first bottle of XXX menthol and still have another half ounce of crystals to mix.
