Menthol poisoning!!

So I got my order from alien vision yesterday afternoon.

Bobas bounty, very blueberry and menthol drops. I also got my menthol ice from halo.

My idea was to blend a good menthol so I started. Now being that I was a menthol smoker for 15 years I wanted a good menthol flavor. Much more than the prefilled cartos that came from the mall.

I started with a half condom full of menthol ice and gave it the sniff test. I wasn't satisfied so I added two menthol drops in the condom and two in the top. I basically did he same thing for a blueberry menthol mix and a Bobas menthol mix. Big mistake!

The initial vapes were awesome! Finally I had a strong menthol! I continued to cape, switching between the three trying to decide which was best in. By my 20th vape or so I noticed they all tastes the same and my heartrate was increased so I decided to chill for a while. Well I could only smell menthol the rest of the day, my supper, Doritos and ice cream all had a overpowering menthol flavor. I had to breath through my mouth when going to sleep because I felt like I had a halls drop in my nose

Today a bit better but still there. My Starbucks and pastrami sandwitch had a menthol taste

Well at least its getting better. I have not vaped since yesterday afternoon.

I took a huge does of menthol once by accidentally squirting "Stop Pain" in my mouth instead of Biotene. Guess it worked out because my mouth watered a long time Menthol is very strong and doesn't take much to overpower everything else. Glad you are feeling better.

Lol tell me about it! I can't get the flavor out of the carto.

On a site note I did fill a new cartos w Bobas bounty at lunch today. Took my first vape as I wrote this and I love it! I don't know what it tastes like but I love it!

Being a Newport smoker for over thirty years, it is difficult for me to find a good menthol. I've spent a small fortune doing so. While some are nice, nothing has quite hit the sweet spot. I'm not sure when you started vaping, or the nicotine level your at. What did you smoke before? How much? Being a heavy smoker before, I actually had to bump up my nicotine level. The increased heart rate is usually due to nicotine.

The menthol taste... yeah... it can be overpowering for sure. I'm sorry about that. I have been trying Ejoker from Backwoods Brew. It's nice, but not a Newport, but a nice flavor to vape. I also find when I do want to try to satisfy my menthol craving a little goes a very long way... try just a couple of drops. Best of luck to you and if I can help in any way I will.

Getting the menthol aftershock out of the carto my never be possible - I actually have a few cartos that are dedicated to mint / menthol flavors only - I do the same thing for clove and cinnamon.

Enchanted, have you ever considered DIY on a small scale? The recipe for Smooth Menthol is very nice and easy to create.

I use menthol crystals when making my e liquid and there is a fine line between strong and over powering. Only add a little at a time, you can always add more.

I haven't Bradder, but I will go do a search for it now. I too have dedicated menthol cartos... my stainless ones are menthol I have been mixing a few menthol drops with the tobacco flavors... I tried samples of Nhaler Newport, Dekang Nuport and others as well.

I use Boba's Bounty and their menthol drops. I don't go over drops to a 6ml mix for atty's. I don't want to mute the flavor to just menthol, just a hint of it. Works well for me. If I use it in a carto/tank, I got a few more drops. Yep, those carto's are dedicated menthol ones now. It doesn't even wash out well with PGA, still a hint left always. I'll bet you thought you had chewed down a path of mint to a eucalyptus tree.

If you can't locate it http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/203187-smooth-menthol.html . I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the mixture, but I love it - I added a bit of sweetener as well (I think the originator rec'ed it after a while) at 2-3%.
