Okay, this is not the new flavor many were expecting. I was thrilled to see a new "menthol" and jumped all over it in anticipation.

Please leave your pre-concieved notions at the door, as the description is not terribly accurate for this one.

I believe this is an expansive view Halo has on bridging the gap between their best selling "Tobacco" flavor Tribeca, (which I think is less of an RY4 and more of a desert flavor as it is a sweet toasted caramel), and their slightly lacking menthol lineup. I do mean slightly if that, as Halo has all the menthols one could possibly care to vape, minus a spearmint. I do LOVE my menthols.

You want an overwhelming frosty cool sensation that lingers on your tongue? SubZero is for you. You want a mixed moderate mint? Mystic is for you. You want something straightforward, without too much frost? CoolMist might be right up your ally.

As a former menthol smoker I was elated to see a new menthol added. Menthol X however, is 85% sweet Tribeca toasted caramel tobacco, with 15% menthol.

The menthol is far more faint for the category it was placed in. There is so little minty eucalyptus, so little kringles peppermint, and no frosty goodness. It doesn't belong in the menthol category.

I give Menthol X a 7/10. Not an ADV like the other menthols Halo has offered for years. It's just too sweet with not nearly enough mint as the description leads you to believe.

Try it and decide for yourself! :)

I will withhold my full opinion untill I've vaped this for at least another tank, as I do any flavor.

But after about 2ml, I get lots of mint, frost and eucalyptus. I'd say I'm missing the tobacco. And I gotta switch flavors, I've been vamping this all day! I'll change up and try it again later.

But I'm not at all disappointed.

Same here Dave. I've been vampin it all afternoon, and tonight. I put a little Torque in it along with the Tribeca to tone DOWN some of the mint! I've tried it in a Triton tank AND horny tank, and the mint/eucalyptus is still dominating....I love it. It's different, and weird, just like me....lol

Yes, I do vape menthols. I like menthols in my rotation.

And I rather like it so far. It is definately a Halo product; well though, deep, complex, well crafted, many nuances, like any Halo eliquid.

What is your point?

Please, taste is personal and subjective.

Well I got a totally different spin on menthol x. To me I get heavy eucalyptus and peppermint and very little tribeca. It's pretty good. Not sure if I'll reorder. Kind of strange to me...gonna give it another tank or so...

I'm with ya on that! I've taken a break from it for the past two days. I enjoyed it when it was hot out and now its pretty cool here. Gonna try it again soon...but I think of this flavor as a menthol for sure...with eucalyptus and aftertaste of peppermint and a underlying Tribeca base... but I don't even taste Tribeca, but if I switch to Tribeca its weird... gotta switch to a completely different flavor..like Belgian or Turkish..or freedom :)

Taste is extremely subjective. I'm looking forward to reading many reviews and personal opinions on the new flavor.

I just think it's a weak menthol, even compared to their lightest menthols.

It ain't a super Dooper strong menthol but that's why its labeled as a hybrid...I really like it...especially because if I add a few too many drops of sub zero to any other flavor its way to strong for me. I haven't tried the other menthols, but this one is a good start I believe. Greenleaf, you should let it air out overnight..i like this though. Glad to hear some other people takes on this..I:)

You might be right man.

I'll let this one steep for awhile. The Tribeca might eviscerate. I just wish is had twice the Eucalyptus and peppermint. I guess I could do the 2 sub-zero drops thing.

Hey Green, could it be that your taste is a little off since you had to smoke until your order arrived? It only takes a few of those nasty things to screw up everything....just sayin':(

Ahh yes, I tried to take ashed taste buds into consideration. But my Southern is right on par. Odd.

I will be getting some Halo vapemail today with a free sample Of Menthol X, so I will report back with my opinions later. I am a menthol vaper, and I typically don't like any tobacco flavoring in my juices at all, so I'm curious to see if I like this one or not, especially with so many varying opinions on it so far in this thread.

Edited to add, as I submitted this post the mailman appeared on my porch, off to fill up with some Menthol X! :vapor:

Well, I let mine air out overnight as prescribed. It definitely helped. The best description I still come up with is eating a caramel then swishing around some listerine or eating a eucalyptus cough drop without brushing first. It's not nearly as medicinal tasting after airing out though. I know that may sound like a negative description but it's really not. I actually like it now.

Greenleaf - air it out! I promise it will taste better.
