Just picked one of these up. Seems pretty good so far.

3.5ml tank (holds a little more).
Side/bottom coil airflow.
Very large wick slots.
Velocity deck with only 2 holes (3 or 4mm each).
Top fill w/a plug/gasketed fill port.
24mm diameter and 48mm tall..
Screw on chuff cap and the gaskets are all nice and tight even after its juiced up.
Airflow isnt CRAZY but non restrictive wide open.

I wouldnt say you can cram HUGE builds in here but its performing quite well.

Dual tiger build. 6 wraps 3mm ID. Reading .157ohms on an alien 220.
Even with the 2hole design its still easy to build on.

Anyone else have one of these that knows of any cons?

Edit: i didnt mention that the flavour is outstanding. Id give it about an 8/10. Havnt gotten a lick of spitback yet at 100w

I actually edited my post as you were posting that.

Havnt gotten any spitback yet at 100w. Been chainvaping 2 tanks down since i got er built.

Spitbacks going to rely on wattage and your build mind you. It does have a bit of a spit guard in the tip.

That's what I was thinking too that it's build dependent but since supposedly Daniel is experienced.... where did u get yours?

Local vape shop here in edmonton.
Or vapehorizon.ca.

Also i think if you put your wicks right down to the bottom of the tank they may oversaturate and cause spitback. I set mine just at the top of the glass section.

I actually went there for a smok skyhook but after tinkering with the display models i ended up buying this one.

I will add too that the smok skyhook rdta had one fatal flaw..
If you tried to close the airflow the juice fill port was open a mm or so. Maybe that one wasnt fabricated properly. Steered clear of it though.

Edit: just to clarify/update. You CAN get juice in your mouth if you REALLY suck on it. But at that point youre making it whistle and sing and forcing more air in to it than what its meant for. Id assume any RDTA would give some level of spitback as youre basicly sucking right off of the coils.

What build you running in there?

Ive gone through 3 now and the best was the build pictured up top.
This one I'm running a pair of SS fused Claptons @ around 0.17. My black and gold Merlin I'm running on my series Mod with a pair of Kanthal Fused Claptons at around 0.55

Aah im going to have to get a roll of fused clapton.
Going to drop a dual 24/30g clapton in here later. I built the current at .430 but the alien 220 cant fire it at full power below 75% battery or so at 90-100w
30g wrapping wire? The ramp up time and heat retention will be insane. Even 32g suck as wrapping wire, 34g or 36g much, much better.

I've been making 28/32 kanthal claptons and ya they hold their heat quite well. I did build a 28 kanthal/34 nichrome and it performs much better but not sure of the nichrome fumes being used in wattage mode. I have 34 stainless and kanthal on order. They must be mighty thick claptons using 30 gauge wire, you could remove some of the wraps for a better more secure fit and not worrying about wraps shifting maybe loosening the set screws. I've been removing some of the wraps with no issues. The hitter registers the core wire and the wraps just transfer the heat so they aren't needed in the set screw area.

Sorry for the double post but i did find one flaw in this RDTA that needs to be mentioned.

There is a vent hole drilled in one of the airflows for the bottom tank. Its a small one but it will leak in your pocket from the heat/vibrations. Unless you can keep it vertical that is.

It doesnt seem to leak much if at all if its tilted, but stationary.

Easy solution to the problem.
A fat vape band around the airflow and where the top cap meets the top of the tank makes it leak proof.
This may not be an acceptable option to some but the unit works exceptionally well otherwise both in flavor and vapor.

Edit: that vape band makes it air tight even with the airflow open behind it.
