Im not sure how well it would work in a dripper, I dont know how much juice the wick actually holds compared to cotton, silica, or braided ceramic sleeving and ekowool. You still need to use mesh or ceramic sleeving around the cable before you wrap the wick to prevent hot spots, the cable is not round. The cable I have is 7x7 meaning its 7 strands in each bundle the 7 bundle braided together.

Here is where I got all my info from http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/375999-wire-rope-wick.html

Quick Question: What are the consequences of not removing the Nylon thread contained in the center section of many types of Stainless Steel Cables? I am curious if it really matters.

Thanks

Well, you don't want to vape nylon. You can use a torch and burn the nylon out.

hello i was hoping someone could help me with my wick problems. sorry if this has been covered but i cannot find it.
after setting up my z atty, after a couple drags my wick begins to shed pieces of something i think its pieces of the wick, it looks like
dirt around the coils and is deep black, this causes a bad and harsh taste. i has really put me off to the hole idea of mesh wicks.
i know its is an error on my part but i do not know what is causing the problem. any help would be great.
