i am currently looking for more flavor on one of my particular builds.

cotton wicked micros are my go-to coil. 1/16" ID, with a small cotton wick. this works amazingly for my fruit flavors and most of my other flavors.

however, i find that one particular juice of mine (NLV Gold) only tastes they way it should on mesh. so ive just kept it in gennys up until now. now im in search of a nice dripper build for this without using mesh. if i have to use mesh, i guess i'll get a slug wick going but id prefer not to use mesh if possible.

one option of mine is the tin man coil and i plan to try that soon. ive heard it gives mesh flavor without using mesh. but maybe some other type of build will give me the flavor im looking for. perhaps some type of a twisted build? maybe a cotton cloud will give me more flavor? or maybe a combo of the two?

any advice would be great. tia.

For better flavor i'd up the diameter of the coil to 7/64ish and use twisted wire. If your looking for a crisper vape you can wrap some ribbon wire around the twisted. You can use cotton for either, just make sure to wash you hand befores handling cotton since it usually taste funny if i don't. I aslo boiled my cotton which i got from cvs, the organic kind.

Let my know about what ohms your looking for if you want a more specific build.

thank you.
i plan to go with resistance anywhere from 0.5Ω to 1Ω. im willing to go slightly outside that if it means my flavor will improve.
the particular juice im working with is NLV Gold. its a maple/toffee/buttery tobacco. its wonderful. you dont really taste the tobacco, but it certainly plays a role. anyway, when i vape this juice from say a cotton wicked kayfun, i get the sweetness but the complexity vanishes. the only way i was able to achieve its true flavor so far is from gennys. but im getting tired of gennys lately in favor of my cotton wicked attys.

I'd probably make something like a Flat ......., video---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=035Wtuewfd8. His coil is made from twisted 32 with flat ribbon wire wrapped around it. You can use any thickness of kanthal for the twisted part and the ribbon size isn't too important. Personally i'd use twisted 30 gauge with ribbon wire around it and go 4-6 wraps for 0.4-0.8 ohms.
